Some generations did better than previous ones due to economic conditions at the time, and this is especially true in the period between WWII and Reaganomics. Some individuals experience both hard work and success, but there are a great many hard working individuals who have no personal wealth to speak of.

Yep. Chauvin is going to help bring about police reform and prison reform. Nothing gets action from the justice system like a white cop having something bad happen to him.

I think he was referencing this case and the ridiculous sentence she received for making a good faith mistake, and the general trend to give harsher sentences to black folks and democrats for this. (Second link contrasts against other cases)
