  • He's on the list, but I think the billionaires/millionaires will fall in line before we get to him.

  • I had quite a few docker containers going on a Raspberry Pi 4. Worked fine. Though it did have 8GB of RAM to be fair

  • They've locked down phones too much nowadays to make stealing them worth it.

  • El Gato Guardapizzas

  • A modelling agency gets the visa for you. You get assigned a manager who gets granted legal guardianship over you by your parents since you’re under 18.

That whole paragraph sets alarm bells blaring in my head

  • Here ya go: 214 Massachusetts Avenue NE, Washington, D.C., U.S.- right on the Wikipedia page.

Of course, I wouldn't advise doing anything more than a lively peaceful protest outside. But also I can't stop you from doing something more effective.

  • Learn to use spoiler tags coward

  • I feel like my post history is pretty normal but I suppose I'm biased lol

  • What we really need is for everything to be American/western propaganda. Can't possibly have anything else.

  • There's nothing wrong with .ml communities stop the stupid infighting, splitting discussion on Lemmy further will do nothing but hurt the fediverse.

  • Have you seen the price of new GPUs? Sure ya do. Maybe they only last a few years. That's alright.

  • It shows more to the side but it's much much harder to see anything farther back compared to the door mirrors.

  • Every truck I've driven has both. The hood mirror is further and gives much less view of the lane next to you.

    Here's a comparison I just took -

If I had to choose one to get rid of it's the hood mirror no question. Ideally you check all three mirrors but the hood mirror shows much less to you. It's just better at showing you that immediate blind spot.

  • Are hood mirrors a substitute for side mirrors? Like do they have the full field of view so you can see the same things as you see on a side mirror? I'm doubting it myself.

Am trucker. Absolutely not. Hood mirrors are basically blind spot checkers and won't tell you much about who is racing up the lane next to you until it's too late.

Plus you wouldn't have any possible way to turn left safely.

  • And half of them won't even bother learning Spanish. I'll never give someone who immigrates due to hardship a hard time about learning the language, but privileged fucks who go to exploit a lower cost of living or whatever often just end up in expat bubbles and don't know more than a few words of the local language even after years despite having that privilege of time/money/resources to learn it.

  • Yeah pretty much. Or have multiple installed and pick which to use when you log in

  • I wonder what that process is like. Do you have to go to the embassy and tell them they're a bunch of genociders?

Edit: that's exactly what you have to do. Here's a bunch of accounts of the process. https://guidetorenouncing.carrd.co/

  • In a land where desktops can be ripped out and replace with ease - what's the point in arguing? GNOME isn't my thing but I'm glad it's an option.
