  • I suppose so. I'm just here for the recipes

    White Boy Chili

    1 lb ground beef
    two medium onions
    one bell pepper
one 24 oz can tomato sauce
two 12 oz cans petite diced tomatoes
one 30 oz can dark (or light) red kidney beans, risned
one 15 oz can light (or dark) red kidney beans, rinsed
one 15 out can black beans, rinsed
one 15 oz can cannellini beans, rinsed
    2 tbs chili powder
    1 tbs black pepper
around 2 tbs salt (to taste)
add one bag frozen corn when cooking is complete

  • I watched all of cour 1 for Sugar Apple Fairy Tale and, considering how Ann returned Challe's wing to him in ep 4 (taking and retaining a fairy's wing gives you command power over said fairy i.e. slavery), any plausible theme of elevation due to involuntary servitude was removed and it continued on as a cute talented female protag artisan trying to make her way in the world, with too many pretty boys.

  • I, too, gave Spellblades 1.5 episodes , and will watch it... only if there's nothing else new to watch. There's always something new to watch.

Murder Farce has been great so far. Animation, pacing, story are on point, but the snark is why you stay.

Same story about Zom 100 and Link Click. Didn't even know about Link Click season 1. That alone will probably keep me from watching Spellblades.

The only trash I'll order off the menu is Tiny Sempai. I'm a sucker for office SoL. That's also why I'm ranking Masterful Cat higher in my books.

Binged all of Ooku: the Inner Chambers. You likely want to have a deep interest in Edo-era culture and palace politics to appreciate the gender swap thesis. I was left just a tiny bit cold in how episode 1 set up a great historical question, which the series answered well, but it never returned at the end to say, "wow, this is why things are they way they are", which made me wonder if there'd be a second season. Since it's Netflix, prolly not.

  • A long time ago when savage men wanted to lay siege to a city they would construct machines like catapults, mangolins, and ballistas. They were dark times. But there was a prophecy of a greater power a siege engine capable of flinging 90kg projectiles over 300 meters. Most said it was but a myth. Then in roughly the 1100s the the mighty counter weighted trebuchet was discovered. Roaming the plains of France these mighty siege engines with their stout oaken frames were capable of doing exactly as the prophecy foretold. The people rejoiced as they were finally capable of taking the cities of their enemies. The power of the trebuchet could not be matched and the great leaders were afraid. They spread lies that catapults were better and even invented flashy useless weapons like cannons. The people were deceived but we know the truth: The Trebuchet capable of flinging 90kg projectiles over 300 meters is the superior siege engine.
