  • I don’t understand your comment. I have found SMART recovery to be free, running off of donations and volunteers. They also sell a few books at a reasonable cost. The only money I have ever spent is donating a few dollars after attending some Family & Friends meetings, and I bought the workbook for something like less than $20.

  • Another secular alternative is SMART recovery. They have group meetings in-person and online as well as a Family & Friends program. https://www.smartrecovery.org/

  • I just turn mine off from the control center menu, swipe down from top right corner. It’s already so simple, why is a shortcut needed at all?

  • Wow it never occurred to me that it was/could-be formally defined in economics terms… but I’ve never studied economics. However, I am aware that is as known as The-dismal-science tho

  • Good point, I should reword the question. I don’t see it as every transaction is exploitative. But there is some kind of spectrum and I’m trying to understand where do I draw that line/range that separates good from bad. I’m curious to hear other people’s opinions.

  • Asklemmy @lemmy.ml

Is there a difference between exploitation and monetization?

  • Ha wow that sounds expensive (and potentially toxic?) I wonder how the cost compares to common wood fence stain

  • That’s a pretty good hypothesis 🤔

  • Well when you put it that way, just about everything can be linked to dying stars 🤓

    Thanks for sharing the link!

  • Cool! I suspected there had to be a practical reason. Thanks for sharing the link!

Why are barns in the United States often red?

  • This is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time 🤣🤣🤣
