  • You can login with any service that can receive private messages from lemmy, which probably nothing can.

  • I tried to run an autoclicker on the canvas.

  • Bauarbeiterdekolleté 👍

  • Put the video in full screen mode, make a screenshot while the interface is still visible, print that screenshot in gray scale and take a picture of it.

  • Are you talking about 490g per 100ml or 490 gram meter seconds per 100 milliliter seconds?

  • People will, very quickly, want to be able to subscribe to channels.

Mastodon can do that. On mastodon channels are groups that boost posts, which means they can be followed. Mastodon handles lemmy similarly.

Even then, I can’t just watch the video and write a comment at the same time, in any sane way.

Yes, but that’s even hard on youtube, because you have to scroll down. It’s easy to do though, despite quite hidden. If you aren’t logged in and press comment or subscribe peertube asks you for you fediverse handle and redirects you to your fediverse instance (on mastodon: corresponding post for comment; follow popup with the group/user for subscribe). In that regard it works a lot better than lemmy.

In fact, if I happen to click a link to watch a video, there’s nowhere to go to in order to watch the video from my non-PeerTube account.

Which gets us back to this, because mastodon embeds the video into the post (the webinterface at least). Clicking on comment does exactly this, but it’s definitely not intuitive and it’s still the player from that peertube instance. I don’t know if it works with anything other than mastodon. It certainly doesn’t work with lemmy right now.

Here a screenshot of it, because I can’t give a link. Mastodon will immediately redirect you to peertube if you aren’t logged in.

  • It seems it has a similar struggle mastodon has. The best way to find interesting posts there are boost from your bubble and hashtags. Peertube has tags too, but it doesn’t seem it can follow/subscribe to them like mastodon can.

  • What I wanted to say is that googles crawlers shouldn’t have any difficulties. But still if such a thing would happen on all platforms, they likely would make an exception for google. Just like many paywalled sites do. As far as I read it’s not clear how much traffic influences the ranking.

  • they are still served by Reddit

    🤔

  • You can also find that on the website, it’s part of the avatar creator.

  • Reddit had a few events where they gave away free NFT avatars. Some people even managed to sell them.

  • I can’t confirm the visual effect, never saw that on the website. But all NFTs have a hexagonal form, whereas normal avatars have a circle.

  • You can switch fennec into desktop mode. The site is harder to read, but it works.

  • I thought that happens always when you visit with a mobile device. I had to put my fennec in desktop mode.

  • Geddit

    Jump
  • Well it sounds it scrapes everything from rss/json feeds, but that would mean this app is read only. It doesn’t say anytking about posting.

  • Though it looks like it’s missing Aegis’ import capabilities (extracting with root)

  • Shattered Pixel Dungeon

Roguelite, fork of Pixel Dungeon with more content and balancing. Has 5 regions, each has four normal levels and a boss level. Has some metagame stuff when you finish the game once. Those two characteristics make it only a roguelite.

    Anuto TD

    Handdrawn Tower Defense.

    Mindustry

Build big industries/factories. Similar to factorio, but havier focus on the tower defense part. Maps are a lot smaller, enemies come in waves with a countdown and therefore a lot easier than infinite factorio.

    Unciv

Sid Meier's Civilization IV remake and therefore a 4X turn-based strategy game

    Vector Pinball

Simple pinball game with multiple tables

Mindustry and Unciv have quite some mods available, mod browsers are integrated.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon, Mindustry and Unciv also have desktop versions. For Shattered that makes it easier to play with mouse/keyboard/gamepad on android and layout should also work with bigger/external screens. Don’t know if that’s also true for the other two.
