  • I don't have a horse in this race, but man, let it drop. The person who's fighting for ridiculous improbabilities here is you. Nobody you're arguing with in this thread is even making a claim that Magic Jesus existed. Just that the man named Jesus who is talked about by the early Christians likely existed (which is scholarly consensus, not even a niche claim). They're specifically not claiming that the fantastical claims made by the early Christians about that man are true.

  • Without a foundation, you have no foundation.

Effectively, China has been acquiring a monopoly on manufacturing, which is an absolute necessity for modern life. We have been acquiring the higher-paid, but less numerous and less critical industries.

  • Any information given would obviously be for use with another device.

QR code, for example. These are instructions or information about the crash, not links (except the QR code, which would obviously be read by another device).

  • Because for the bulk of users, unless they are power users, all they need to know is that things didn't work.

Things actually useful to have on the BSOD:

    • distro-specific instructions for submitting a bug report
    • option to reboot
    • option to show debug info
    • option to show a qr code that submits a bug report
    • and, if configured by the distro or system admin, debug info
  • I don't think the contributions of the dishwasher and the Baker are equal, unless perhaps the dishwasher is deeply dedicated to the bakery - to the point where they're dedicating their life to it.

  • Come up with a plot you will voice, and a plot you won't.

For the first, something that would change the whole political or religious landscape of all of the nearby nations/known world.

For the second, something that could actually destroy the planet, and will ultimately interrupt or make meaningless the change in political landscape.

"Find your way in an open world. Leave your mark, and try to withstand the winds of change."

The key is that both plots happen whether or not the players get involved.

Every session, roll for the advancement of the plots. Make sure things trickle down and impact the players. Subtle early, vicious late.
