  • You might actually want to read the link before you open your mouth and prove yourself stupid.

This is the book that drives Russian foreign policy, and is entirely responsible for the global rise of the far-right. Dismissing it as a "conspiracy theory" marks you as either a Russian-compromised stooge, or an idiot.

  • Yeah, I'm looking at these guys in their loose flannel, and thinking I got all sorts of stuff to grab onto and throw these skinny little punks around. I could slam that guy on the right against his car at least three times before he even realizes he's getting the shit kicked out of him. Losers.

  • Between AI and Robotics, we will likely have a permanently unemployed segment of close to 50%, or even more, within the next decade.

Not everyone will be able to be retrained to be a robotics engineer or AI programmer, and many, many jobs that are considered entry-level will disappear. Imagine a world where most fast food and retail workers are unemployed.

When 40% of America is unemployed, the government will be faced with 2 options - Universal Basic Income, or reducing the population by 40%. Which solution will each party embrace, and how will they accomplish their objectives?

  • Social Security is literally the easiest problem to fix. Just raise the cap.

Right now, we pay SS on the first $167,000 in income. Most people make less than that so they pay SS on 100% of what they earn. But those who earn more that $167K only pay it on the first $167K.

So all they have to do is raise the cap from $167K to $250K, or $500K, etc. They'll scream about it, but who cares? Most of us pay it on 100% of our pay, so I'm not concerned if you have to pay it on a fraction of that amount.

Simple. Stop listening to the Conservative Propaganda Machine, and just raise the cap.

  • I'm a huge fan of Yamaha guitars. Great workmanship at a very affordable price, and if you buy used you can get them super cheap. My best guitar, an FG730S, which plays and sounds as good as any expensive gourmet brands, was only $102 at auction. I even bought another one as a backup. Used Yamaha guitars are the best deal on the market.

  • I saw the headline, and thought " Hey! I post about that book all the time," only to find that I was credited in the post for being the inspiration.

I'd like to say that one of the things that intrigues me about this book, is the mention of "special interests" in America, which seems to indicate undercover agents already planted in America. In 2010, a Russian undercover spy ring was discovered, and sent back to Russia. They were living among us like regular Americans. The incident inspired the TV show The Americans.

I can't help but wonder if one of the "special interests," was Trump himself, along with all of his Russian-compromised henchmen. I wonder if certain elected officials are, or were, included.

  • Like when Fox News got their hands on 40,000 hours of January 6 footage, and edited a 2 minute montage of people being not committing mayhem, and then used that carefully edited clip to claim the allegations of violence were liberal lies.
