  • If you own a cat keep it the fuck inside! Some twit in my area let's their's out all hours of the night and it's discovered a cat lives in my house, so every night it's been coming to the back door to picks fights with mine through the glass.

I'm quite sure it's the same cat pissing on everything and sneaking into my garage. I just don't understand how anyone could just let this thing they are supposed to love out to roam all over.

  • Finally finished His Dark Materials (tv show), it was good but not great. It felt lacking in a lot of areas, and I often couldn't tell if it was bad scripting or bad acting, the bigger names gave reliable performances but some of smaller ones really left a lot to be desired. Will say Simone Kirby (Mary Malone) has definitely been added to my list of actors to watch out for.

Anyway off to rewatch baby Ruth Wilson absolutely kill it as Jane Eyre in the 2006 adaptation as a palate cleanse.

  • Awake at stupid o'clock because someone left a window open and a gust of wind caused a door to slam. Not at all happy!!

  • Yeah, I've got to take them for seven days and not interact with anyone until I've scabbed over. Honestly, feel fine apart from an ear ache and the rash itself being annoying. Have been given a cert for next week as well, but might just WFH and save the leave for a time when deaths actually at the door.

  • Shingles update, it's shingle....

  • Yeah I am old enough to not have been vaxxed, so will many of folks I work with.

  • It looks like I've got shingles (appt later to confirm since I'm developing the symptoms my specialist on Wednesday said to keep an eye out for)... What a pain in the fkn arse!

That's going to be an embarrassing email to my new section since it's contagious to those who've not had chickenpox.

  • Seeing all the camping/hiking stuff out has me HYPEDDDDDDD!!!!!!

  • Oh totally! Although it's a bit easier to stomach at home though because you can get things done, which will come in handy when I go back to school next year.

  • My new job is a finished by midmorning/midday unless something trickles in sort of job, and the feeling is so weird. Like technically I'm done for the day, but now I have to sit there and click about my screen or make small talk with my neighbour. After my last job I'm totally not complaining, but damn!

  • My mother calls them "homeless bags", and always has. Before things got good, I remember them coming out was a sign we'd been evicted or needed to find a new couch to surf. I also always remember the handles breaking if you made them to heavy.

  • Went to the doctors for my usual thing and mentioned a random rash that popped up on my face that's giving me grief, and now I'm on shingles watch... Fingers crossed the antihistamines I've been instructed to take for the next few days confirm its just weird allergy symptoms I've never had before.

  • I'm with Woolworths on the Telstra network, 40 bucks and I get 65gb of data, unlimited standard calls and texts, and unlimited calls and texts to 22 other countries (happy to post the list if needed). You can also bank up 500gb of data, if you are slow at using it up.

Editing because I just went had a browse, they have lower priced plans but all plans contain the unlimited calls and texts, and unlimited calls and texts to 22 other countries.

  • Ok, those cows are fkn glorious! Love a bit of cross stitch.

  • Woke up to someone sending me a bunch of pictures of someone's kids... Hopefully it's not a phishing scam because I replied telling them they have the wrong number and that I had deleted the photos.

But holy hell what a nightmare for the parents, and also worst nightmare for me having random pictures of some kids on my phone for 5 seconds (especially as a man).

  • If there's one thing Paul McGann brings to anything he's in it's terrible kissing. Please for the love of everyone, especially the person on the recieving end, stop giving that man romantic partners/interests.

Honestly, I'm less grossed out by my 80yr old Grandparents having one of their weird denture filled snogs.

  • Was wandering around the outdoors shop because the housemate needed a new pack for our upcoming camping/hiking trip, and as we wander by the shoe aisle it comes to light they no longer have proper hiking shoes...

We are basically like siblings after years of house sharing and in that moment I was ready to deck them like one. A whole trip could have been ruined because they were just going to macgyver an old pair of mine (they wear custom orthopaedic inserts for scoliosis).

  • Not liking these rain/storm forecasts, I'm supposed to be heading up to the Rangers to go camping this coming weekend.

  • I have always for as long as I can remember gotten ADF ads, I think it's because I look at lots of outdoorsy stuff.

  • Honestly wouldn't surprise me these days.
