  • It’s really best in class in that regard. It’s the most customizable mobile browser. Firefox in android has more extensions, but Safari’s actually integrate better in the UI and you can use shortcuts for simple things too.

  • Most people don’t care about that even a little bit. Back in the day I used to use various custom roms on my android devices, it was awesome. But that was then, I have a job and family now and I can’t just reset my phone on a whim because there’s some cool UI tweak in a new rom. Plus, most of the stuff that made custom roms worthwhile has been integrated into the OS nowadays, so the value add is significantly diminished.

  • “No code” programming has been a thing for a while, long before the LLM boom. Of course all the “no code” platforms generate some kind of code based on rules provided by the user, not fundamentally different from an interpreter. This is consistent with that established terminology.

  • Current gen MacBooks have massive batteries. The MacBook Pro 14 inch is 70-73Wh, same as your G14, and the 16 inch MBP is 100Wh, the legal limit to take on an airplane. Even the 13inch air, apple’s thinnest and smallest, is still 52Wh.

  • Do they? Sure, people riot all the time with very good reason. But usually it’s like, they don’t have access to food, or they’re being forced to work longer because the retirement age is increased, or maybe because they’re being evicted from their homes. Certainly these issues are not in any way comparable to a software feature that some people dislike.

  • If a custom rom can’t support it, that’s more about the custom rom than Samsung here. They will almost certainly open source the kernel driver part, and any user library could be copied from the stock rom if absolutely necessary. If a rom developer doesn’t want to do that, well that can’t be reasonably pinned on Samsung.

  • I don’t disagree with anything you said, but cheese can naturally be yellow and make yellow Mac and cheese without any dyes. I buy blocks of yellow cheese, shred them myself and use it for homemade Mac and cheese, no artificial dyes and it turns out delightfully yellow if the cheese was yellow.
