  • „Debian stable” -- Unstable don't use it

  • The environment variable enables stem darkening(a font rendering technique), and wayland is noticeably better at scaling

  • You should just add FREETYPE_PROPERTIES="cff:no-stem-darkening=0 autofitter:no-stem-darkening=0" as an environment variable, and use wayland

  • I've done exactly too much of this stuff, and now I can't stop. Dont let r/unixporn consume you!

  • The „almost” part makes me a bit concerned, but i'm planning to give it a try

  • I like this idea, great and cost effective tought!

  • Last time I tried it, the more custom stuff I put on it(custom color scheme, window decorations etc.) the more it fell apart

  • I already did, but wobbly windows is my love!

  • I usually just do a full reinstall, it's faster, requires less storage, and it's more futureproof. I have my home folder at a different partition, so the files aren't a problem. Archinstall made this a lot easier, and i love it.

  • Technically, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter aren't planets, just clouds really far away

  • I don't know what are you saying, but you are probably right

  • It doesn't like it if I change the user agent

  • If my pc doesn't shut down when I click on the shutdown button, I just pull it out of the wall or switch off the psu depending on my mood. At this point I think it's just affraid of me

  • I don't know what I did but it does that anyway, and I think it's cool. I like to use my pc in the very very not recommended way so I'm not 100% sure if it's normal behavior, but it did that on multiple installs so it probably is

  • Mine just kills the power. Faster than manually unplugging the pc
