I'm sticking with Beehaw, thanks to some awfully crap communities (courtesy of Lemmy) showing up in the 'all' feed. I'm continually blocking them, but somehow they'll be back a few days later.
And before you scream at me to 'stick to subscribed', how else am I supposed to find interesting content?
I know that I'm not going to want to see a lot of subs, I understand that.
Just don't want them back once I've (supposedly) blocked them.
I know it's an issue that possibly only affects me, but if Beehaw jumps ship from Lemmy, the crap will be a lot easier to manage.
Been using it on all 3 of my machines for the last few months. I used to always end up back on Mint but about a year ago that started crapping out on things. MX just works for me.
One thing about all distros (that I've tried anyway) lately, is that they don't see the wifi card in my small Beelink PC. So it's plugged in. Windows did see it, but I wiped that and installed Linux not long after I bought it. Had a couple of issues with KDE and it wouldn't wake from sleep so back to XFCE. Not too heavily customised but it seems to be a keeper for my main machine - the Beelink. I have a Lenovo Ideapad that currently has Manjaro on - might try vanilla Debian on that.
The other machine is an ancient HP laptop - MX XFCE will be staying on that until it craps out for good.
It's not so much that they won't survive, it's a Royal Warrant. That means a lot to some people/companies.
Maybe not to you or me, but if, for example, Fortnum and Mason lost the warrant, sales would plummet.
Am into my second week of regular gym workouts. Have also added in some extra workouts and am feeling a bit sore/stiff.
Bear in mind the last time I did serious exercise/gym time was when I was in the army - and I left that in 1997!
No weight loss showing yet.
I know it's going to be hard work but at 66 years old and being far too heavy, I really need to put in some effort. Alcohol intake is right down and I'm almost vegan and usually eat healthy.
I totally agree, I'm not cutting Israel any slack here - their treatment of Palestine has been awful - and if they weren't so chummy with USA it'd be a different story. But parading mutilated corpses in the streets etc? There's no excuse. Whatever side you're on.
Yes, what is the deal? I can't say that I've noticed any issues. Am in UK if that makes a difference. And I usually run it through Proton VPN.
