  • How did he respond? I blocked that dipshit months ago, kind of curious how stupid his answer is but I do not dare to unblock him...

  • I think the point is lost then, and over time if we follow this practice there won’t be a body called the UN, just countries

Or we improve the whole system and change what does not work. If you act contrary to international law and get the rest of the UN agrees to that in a democratic vote, why not get rid of those russian criminals or at least let them loose their right to veto anything. At the moment the UN is impotent because of those fuckers.

  • I think we can handle Russia, nothing to fear from that shitshow of a country

  • nobody needs russia in the UN, not at the moment.

  • Ah, our daily reminder what a comical evil and degenerated country Russia has become over the last twenty years.

  • Remove those russian cunts from the UN already.

If they end their degenerate war against Ukraine and end Putins dictatorship they can be welcomed again but at the moment they should get the mushroom treatment: Kept in the dark and fed shit.

  • 100% recommend only buying a Herman Miller if you can find one secondhand. It’s a decent chair but I’d never in a million years pay retail price for it.

I bought the Embody last year during their Black Friday Sale, sadly it was the worst chair I ever had. I gave it a solid 4 months of testing but regardless of what I was doing with the settings it never felt comfortable and I got a bad neck and shoulder pain after an hour or two sitting in it.

Sold it for a nice price, made some additional money because those chairs go away like crazy and bought me a Leap from Steelcase.

So keep in mind that even expensive office chairs are not made for everyone

  • I also don't have any problems with a consistent 30 fps on my 65"

  • The enemies ignored both of them.

I disagree to that. Ellie got permanently attacked by the AI, in Bioshock she is blatantly ignored.

  • but I am tired of that same comment without any substance.

block or ignore them or make the mods aware of low quality posts, maybe we need some adjustments in the rules. I personally am not bothered by them but everybody is different...

  • Having played both, I can’t say I understand the differences here. Do you mind elaborating? I found Elisabeth a lot more helpful than Elie and to be honest, I can’t remember Elie having any impact on my gameplay off the top of my head.

Quiet the opposite for me. Keep in mind I played it on the PS3 so its been a long time ago, but I remember that the enemys blatantly ignored her, that she did not fight at all and she constantly gave you ammo or health so it made the whole game pretty easy.

Elli on the other hand was really grounded in the gameplay, the animations, she fought back and also got attacked by the enemy. I just found her much more useful and real and I remember that I was quiet shocked about Elisabeth's basic AI in Infinite

  • Most people seem to like the third one, which I never understood.

The upgrade system was inferior and didn't even change the visuals of the guns, Columbia felt more like different setpieces then a real floating city, the AI of Elisabeth was laughable compared to games like The Last of Us and the whole combat felt dumb down, even when it was faster and still little bit of fun. But it was just inferior to the two other installments.

  • Does it show you the actual weather, because here in Germany it's wrong most of the time.

  • so Bioshock in Space without the original licence or story? I think I'll pass on this. Bioshock 1 was lightning in a bottle and an amazing game but the rest of the series was never able to reach the same heights and Infinite was really bad in my oppinion so that even the story and the scenery couldn't save it for me.

  • What kinds of thing, as a matter of interest

Homescreen customization, volume controls, easy accessible settings, how to get rid of notifications and it's stacking, the weather app, the whole keyboard and spell checker, which is really just awful on iOS and lot of other smaller things.

  • that's actually a good point.

My wife recently started using an iPhone mini because she likes the size and on android there is nothing in that area, but she sometimes criticizes things that really make me believe she's trolling me.

But then I realize that she's just used to a, at least for her, better function or interaction done in her old android phone. And if she explains it to me I actually have to agree and wonder why apple's solution is so strange.

  • Anyone else feel me on this? I imagine this is a problem for other communities on Lemmy as well.

nah mate. Would describe me as an enthusiast but still think that Apple shits the bed pretty often, is charging way too much and could do a lot better in hardware and software.

So as already mentioned, Apple's biggest enthusiasts are also its biggest critics.
