  • i don't remember it exactly, but i remember really, really loving the final scene in the first episode of the haunting of hill house. that episode remains one of my favorite episodes of tv, since i think it stand alone well even without the rest of the series.

  • howdy! šŸ 🤠

  • my friend jace used to play guitar for them! saw them play ninja guidan and legend of zelda this past fall, and i think that was probably the 5th or 6th time i’ve seen the band. such a unique show and always a blast to watch. if you like that style of music, check out jace’s other project: double ferrari.

  • are you talking about bit brigade???

  • happy(?) early 40th! are you doing anything to celebrate?

  • howdy! šŸ 🤠

  • ugh i’m so sorry. i can totally empathize with being unable to do enjoyable physical activities. not sure if you’re looking for suggestions, but is swimming an option for you in the meantime?

  • i just want my flurries and one day of 2-3 inches! grew up in indiana and had plenty of drifts for a lifetime. ;)

  • i was an election official for the primary this year. it's a long, grueling day of standing around not doing a whole lot. my back/shoulders felt it pretty hard, and i was really happy to have a restorative yoga class thursday night to reset.

little dog earned enough points to get her first title! we had several friends show up to support her, so i got some amateur video as well. her recall has gotten so good, and that makes me very happy.

walked the newest addition (echo the border collie) around at the event to see how she would do, and she was interested but chill, which was great. she starts basic obedience class this week.

on sunday afternoon, we had some friends over, played a round of citadels, ate cheese, and imbibed in beers.

i really need to ride my bike more. july is going to be here before i know it, and i need to be able to ride 40-90 miles/day for a whole week. 😳

  • i'm still bummed i didn't even get flurries this year in north carolina. :(

  • haha! CAT stands for coursing ability test!

  • oh yeah, this is just to get her in and out of the track or agility course. she wears a front-clip harness or head halter when we go for real walks. :)

  • Does your Jean’s tail straighten out when she’s relaxed?

it does! i often call it her "pig tail," haha. jean also has some russel terrier in her according to her DNA results... but she's a pretty diverse mishmash of breeds.

  • i highly recommend it! i started with the collar dangling from my arm/wrist, and fed her treats from that hand. at first, it was hard to get her to even approach me with the collar like that. slowly, once she was eager to come to me like that, i slid the collar down to my hand and rewarded her there several times until she was comfortable with that. then, i held the collar open in one hand, treat in the other, and rewarded her for sticking her nose through to get the treat. we've been practicing this trick for probably 2-3 weeks now, and she's come a long way!
