  • i have a truck for towing my travel trailer and doing other truck tasks like hauling stuff around in the bed (we take the small coupe or bikes everywhere else), and i love this idea!

  • the witch is my personal favorite. i’ve heard it’s one of the most period-accurate movies of that era. the ending can be seen as good or bad for the protagonist. it’s slow and atmospheric which is my favorite kind of horror.

runner up: lamb is so bizarre and i went into it knowing absolutely nothing. very rewatchable!

  • heck yeah! i made a crochet sweater last year, and i’ve got another two baby blankets in the works along with a bonnet for my sister’s horse. last year really kicked me into a big crochet habit, and i’ve made so many things over the past year!

this year, i’d like to make some progress on the bike i’m restoring for my partner. maybe with the goal of having a working bike by the end of october (assuming the parts don’t take forever to come in).

    the bike!

  • i gotta start doing this when i’m on my bike with shitty drivers.

  • i think it’s more like going to a different supermarket.

  • i'm on week three of new meds, and the negative side-effects seem to have worn off. i can't really tell if the actual intended effects are working yet (more focus). it does seem like it's easier to break away from certain time sinks like mindlessly scrolling on my phone in the morning... but i'm not entirely sure. 🤷

i have my therapy appointment in ~15 minutes, so maybe she'll be able to pinpoint something i can't see for myself.

  • it might be, but i don’t think so. i’ll probably test in a few days to be sure.

  • spent the last four days at a music festival, and my nose has been running all morning even though i was masking anytime i was indoors. 😷

i’m house sitting for the next three nights, so at least i’ll be able to get plenty of rest.

  • my current vacuum is going on 11 years. pretty proud of that $200 purchase. i’ve had 2-3 dogs at any given time, and this thing is a champ.

  • Same sex couples were not included in the research. Because the patterns there may differ significantly, the authors are now exploring those separately.

dang. that’s the data i was most curious about, because they’ve already got something in common.

  • i swear it’s the folded ears. such a cutie.

  • house sitting two big goofy german shepherds. they’re way more chill than my last clients.

  • see if there are any community gardens in your area. they’re basically what you’re talking about, although usually only the land owner and/or farm manager lives there. my favorite one around here also has a rotating volunteer position who lives on site.

  • dog sports and crochet/knitting. i spend about $200/month on agility lessons, plus entry fees. good yarn is not cheap.

  • i still use mybb to run a writing forum that’s been ongoing for 10+ years. :)

  • i really love stardew valley for a cozy co-op game. for something a little weirder and darker, crawl is a blast.

  • i had my first dog/house sitting gig last weekend. also went to the annual soap box car race which is always a blast. had a slow start to this week, but then did a small/quick group bike ride with the meetup i run. just now heading out to meet with another dog/house sitting client for a future stay, then probably hanging out somewhere downtown.

oh! and the foster dog has his specialist consult on monday, which i'm really happy about. i love fostering, but i honestly didn't expect him to stay this long, haha.
