  • Its only whataboutism to you because we are applying the same standard to liberal countries you are to communist ones.

Also America has NOT grown and learned from the internment camps.

  • You know the western powers signed non agression pacts with Nazi Germany too right? And then did appeasment?

  • This is just ahistorical in like 5 different ways I wouldn't even know where to begin, nor do I consider you worth it. Have fun.

  • And I don't tend to play nice with bloodthirsty fascists

Thats our attitude as well. Your problem is that you think the people who have been historically proven to be better at fighting fascism are the actual fascists. Its enlightened centrist garbage.

  • I don't really love everything the USSR did either. I think the population transfers were generally a pretty bad thing. But I don't do that both sides shit.

  • I can't "brigade" a post thats literally on my front page and which the admin explicitly invited us to participate in.

Conflict isn't and will remain not abuse. And looking at your post history, you've said plenty of mean things to people on hexbear in their own goddamn instance so don't try to take the moral highground there buddy.

  • This mf actually said "love the scientists" like its a bad thing.

  • abusive

I know my instance is blocked and you probably won't see this, but as a parental abuse survivor I really take issue with this trivialization of abuse.

    https://arsenalpulp.com/Books/C/Conflict-Is-Not-Abuse

    And neither is disagreement.

I won't pretend that hexbear comments are not sometimes mean. But calling them "abusive" is just trivialization .

  • We criticize liberalism from the left though. I understand that you're not used to that but liberalism is not actually the leftmost part of the political spectrum. Its also worth noting that when we say "liberalism" we include both what you understand to be "liberals" and "conservatives" because thats what the word originally meant. It just meant "supporter of capitalism". We have significant issues with the Democratic Party (and the equivalent parties in other first world nations) though and don't pretend otherwise, but all those criticisms are coming from Marxist perspectives.

I'm not even going to get into it with the "pro fascism" part because I know this is almost certainly based on a misunderstanding of what fascism. Hexbear is explicitly anti-fascist, as are all communists except those weirdo MAGA communists of which there are like 10.

  • The idea that a person should have to skip their father's funeral because they have a newborn is absolutely fucking bonkers. Public transport is for everyone that needs to be transported (or should be).

  • "Oh no. I live in Los Angeles and my kid's beloved grandfather from Boston just died. But I have a newborn and they cry sometimes because they're a newborn, and Stuka@lemmy.ml doesn't want to hear babies being normal babies so I guess we'll just have to miss the funeral."

  • No the person just described how lemmy works and how people find posts and you're still treating it like a conspiracy to brigade. Where on our platform are there calls to action to "brigade" this post or any other? Hexbear's algorithm doesn't work any different from any other instance.

  • Maaaaaan come ooooooon this is literally just how the platform works what the hell?

  • People complain about science denial a lot but then those same people will act like young children are capable of active malice when its scientific consensus among developmental psychologists that they are not. I've had this argument so many times.

  • Thank you for saying it. Its frustrating how common revulsion towards children is.

  • Love seeing your dumb ass post the same redacted study over and over and over again.
