Speaking as a Canadian, there is also some much arrogance and ignorance about things outside of your country that baffles my mind (not from all but from a large portion of the population). American exceptionalism and decades of really effective propaganda that has gotten increasingly more unhinged from reality and crumbling education system probably isn't helping either. (I don't mean that as an insult, every country has issues, and we were very good neighbors and allies until recently)

I watch a few different channels regularly. Here are a few of my favorites

Cecilia Blomdahl lives in the Arctic Circle/northern Norway and has lots of adventures and videos her day to day life in a really interesting way.

Also some Brits who have been renovating abandoned chateaus in France called Escape the Dream and a new one called Mucky Mansion are great escapism

Brain Pilot makes some good videos recapping a few shows i enjoy

I have a few classic youtubers I still watch from back in the day Safiya Nygard and Grace Helbig, for some beauty/crazy fashion/cooking stuff

If you want a sane political/comedy channel, Trae Crowder, the Liberal Redneck is fantastic. In that same vein, Some More News does fantastic deep dives in lots of political and social issues focused mostly on the US

Living big in a tiny house is really interesting seeing cool tiny homes around the world

Takis shelter is a channel from an amazing man who runs a sanctuary for animals in Crete and is a literal saint

Does it need to be plugged in? There are some really great phone casting/mirroring apps that do the job well

CBC Gem is pretty good if you support the paid version, too, only like $6 for ad free

Anker! They are super good quality and have a phenomenal warranty/replacement program that's so easy to deal with

Religion amd the fighting it causes in it's name

I don't know about my favorite ever, but the episode I rewatch and love the most from the last few years is the Jackie Daytona (On the Run) episode of What We Do In The Shadows. It's just perfection from start to finish. It's ridiculous, hilarious, it's endlessly quotable, and it doesn't matter how many times I have seen it- I will always be up for another rewatch. The show is great in it's entirety but that episode was just pure gold!

Personally, I would say 3-4 is a good gap. That is what we have done with our last 3 pups, I wouldn't want them to be much farther apart as I feel like they wouldn't play or bond quite as well when the older one is more set in their ways and has less energy for puppy shenanigans

There are less adults/competent/people with any morals in the room now. Swap John Kelly and some of the slightly more upstanding members of his inner circle for RFK Jr and some of the worst of the worst

Apparently, the only way to get under their skin is to sink down to their level a bit. It's funny how much attention some of this stuff actually got. They are just so weird!

Because in the film industry, actors are not the ones responsible when it comes to firearms. There are armourers/props, people, and even assistant directors who are responsible for on set safety, actors and crew trust other departments to do their job correctly and safely. There are so many rules and regulations for how guns are handled on set, on every set I have worked on guns were locked in a safe with the armourer being the only one with the key, they would have to have their eyes on the weapon at all times with no exceptions when it was outdside the safe. You don't hold an actor responsible if there is a stunt gone wrong or a piece of the set falls down because it isn't their job unless he was behaving recklessly or outrageously. Although he may hold some culpability due to his role as a producer and the financial stuff, i.e., budget cutting, hiring inexperienced crew, etc. I can't stand the man myself, but he is not the one who is most responsible for this incident

I totally agree with you about YouTube, I am tech stupid, too. I watch it every day on multiple devices, and it's worth it to pay for it just to make life easier

I would do my current job for free with people who need it but couldn't afford it (massage) think seniors, sick, disabled ect. Also, spend time working with animal rescue/shelters in some way

I keep wondering this, too. I am sure it doesn't help that those on the far right seem to demonize mental health help and showing weekness/needing any help. Besides the general crazy conspiracies and tendency to blame the government/others for what they see as wrong in society

RhinoShield has been all I will ever order for the last, maybe 10 years or at least as long as I can remember. Dropped numerous times on cement or other floors with no issues

Try to limit how much news/social media I consume, especially the really dark stuff. Then I spend a lot of time finding good things that I love watching (cute animals, reno videos ect). It's a lot of self-preservation because a ton of news is super depressing and rage inducing, keeping a balance between not being totally ignorant but not wanting to ruin my mental health is key

Please go back to whatever alternate dimension you came from. Or maybe a hospital for medical treatment of your delusions
