Do hollywood next (aka the propaganda machine of the US).

2 reasons:

• first past the post system --> everything is good or bad, with me or against me, blue or red, black or white, ...
• the initial lawlessness of the pilgrims just continued and permeated the culture

IMO, until USAmericans finally get rid of "winner takes all", they won't be able to change the attitude.

Mass Effect 3 looked quite polished during game-play - much better than ME1&2 - but the story was less engaging and just generally worse. I just imagine this to be in the same vein but turned up a notch.

Veracity of news is important though. Some random person claiming Gandi rapes kids would carry much less weight than @brandy@bbc.com saying so. "News" from some mastodon.social account would (hopefully) get more scrutiny.

That's why institutions should be on mastodon, not bluesky. @user@social.someinstitution.com is much more recognizable than whatever bluesky has.

I have an inkling that the next mass effect is going to be worse than all the ones that came before it. They'll pump large amounts of money into it, make it beautiful, but the story will be dull, the missions repetitive, the worlds uninteresting, and probably they'll add some kind of micro-transactions, a perma-online mode, and a "game pass". Making it a prequel wouldn't surprise me either.

The title and image of the article are definitely clickbait. It's like saying "women are evolving penises", but the article is about goddamn flies.

People already question if putting a child into this world of suffering and misery is right. If more people asked themselves the question and seriously tried to find an answer to it, the world would look quite different.

The block button is amazing.

I fear where they are going to go... they probably have a governmental Mastodon instance, but will go to Bluesky or Threads. They will have learned next to nothing from the experience, I bet.

Good idea. We need game awards that don't just have AAA games winning all the time because they could spray the internet and real world with ads. They are mostly just flashy remakes of something with very few new elements aka no innovation, mostly bought because people were hyped into buying it.

So should the EU. The US is not the world's friend.
