Is chronic wasting disease communicable between species? I thought prions were species-specific.
Edit: I was curious and looked it up. It’s not currently communicable to humans but that could change as the prion evolves. Avoid eating infected meat, though it probably won’t affect you, being patient zero would suck.
Death rate is also strongly correlated with when you were born. We’ve gotten much better at not being dead in the last 100 years. For people born in 1924 the death rate is nearly 100%, but for people born in 2024 it has dropped close to zero!
For mail-in, you don’t sign the ballot itself. You sign the envelope, which is used to validate / track who voted, but is then separated from the actual ballot before counting so there’s no way to track who you voted for.
If so it’s still gross of the gunman to take something as pure and wholesome as a school shooting and corrupt it with political overtones by missing his target.
