  • I really like what they do but mostly find them unlistenable. If you don’t enjoy listening to people just chatting and making lots of—often bad—jokes in the middle of the narrative, this podcast is not for you.

If you don’t mind that, they do a great job of deep diving into the history of despicable people.

  • He’s shingles.

Yeah, the US had the disease pretty bad when it was young. And, it’s laid dormant in the nervous system for years. Some stress and poor health habits have allowed it to rise to the surface.

It won’t ever go away entirely but better habits and self-care can keep it away indefinitely.

  • Government protection of technology (patents, copyright) will always hinder them.

Good luck inventing or creating something that a person or corporation with more money won’t immediately copy and then push you out of the market.

Patents and copyright, as originally conceived, are the lower classes only chance to compete.

  • Same coat, different color.

It’s the exact same mental illness that makes people espouse far right views. It is, currently, still more common on the right.

It’s a way to get attention. It’s a way to feel empowered. Arguing with them is feeding their coping mechanism. Either don’t engage or state your position in a positive way that doesn’t attack theirs.

  • They don’t have a solid catalog anymore, they quit the company that owns the publishing rights to the catalog.

These aren’t the developers quitting. It’s the publisher’s staff. Like If the employees of Republic Records all quit, Universal Music Group would still have the right to publish Taylor Swift’s or John Legend’s next album.
