  • The one thing that the last bombing achieved was to show everyone the limits of the bunker busters. To paraphrase one pundit, it’s cheaper to dig and build deeper than it is to make a bomb that can blow up things further underground.

  • That’s far from an even comparison. Red caps were nothing of note before MAGA unless maybe your favorite sports team use them. The flag of the United States of America carries far more history and significance than a red cap. Any future version of the USA will include the same flag. Every American should identify with it in some level. It’s worth taking control of its meaning and not let it be a synonym for fascism.

  • But, you’re letting them control the narrative with 🇺🇸=white, racist government and 🇲🇽=unruly protesters.

They want 🇺🇸 to be a symbol of the white oppressors. They want people to look at the protests and see a foreign flag because their whole narrative revolves around immigrants being invaders.

You want most Americans to look at the protesters and see themselves.

  • Negatively: Almost any clothing with more than a couple words of text.

    Clothing with a prominent brand.

    Clothing with right-wing political connotations.

Dyed blonde hair or hair dyed brown/black that should, obviously, be gray.

Tramp stamps. Japanese writing tattoos on non-Japanese. Face tattoos. Neck tattoos. Tattoos of pop culture themes.

Expensive cars. Dodge pickup-trucks. Harley Davidson motorcycles. Dodge Chargers. Teslas.

    Police officers.

Positively: Normal clothing. Well-dressed but obviously not expensive clothing. ‘Funky’ style clothing. Clothing that would just look stupid on me.

Wildly dyed hair. Subtlety dyed hair that isn’t covering something up.

Tattoos that are, at least, fairly unique.

Glasses. (I don’t know, I’m prejudiced for people with glasses.)

    Old women.

I could probably come up with a lot more. We’re all prejudiced in some way. It’s the things that we’re prejudiced about and how attached we are to those prejudices that define us.

  • he could have rolled back everything Bush did. The Afghanistan invasion, the extraordinary rendition, the "enhanced interrogation", the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act. He could have ended all of those.

    • The USA was already heavily bogged down in Afghanistan when Obama took office. He could not have simple pulled out. Look at all the shit Biden took when he did after involvement had already been scaled back.
    • Obama did end torture at Guantanamo.
    • American Presidents don’t have the power to repeal laws.

Obama wasn’t perfect—not even great. But, those are weird things to lay on him.
