  • What sucks about these measures (and others) is that they usually do a decent job of subverting the adblocker AdNauseam, which clicks on ads in addition to blocking them.

This forces me to us uBlock Origin, ironically causes the people who implement these countermeasures to make less money off of my visits.

  • It really is.

I've learned a lot about language by coming up with names and seeing other people's.

I think we are blessed with things like set/get. Such wonderful, simple, short concepts that compliment each other so well.

    And they rhyme.

  • Good. Those things need work.

But expect a lot of your complaints to fall on deaf ears unless you're willing to do the work yourself.

A lot of people in the open source ecosystem really don't understand good design.

VLC, however, is one that does.

  • Can you show me what studies you're talking about?

I have a feeling you're referring specifically to studies that focus on people who are paid to moderate this content. If you share what studies you're talking about we can know for sure.

  • What it's 'intended' to do doesn't really matter. If you notice, people aren't supporting Hamas. They see these videos and they're rallying behind them in support for Israel.

Wow. It's almost like, exactly how I said, showing people instead of telling them causes them to take war seriously.

  • It’s not like they just sit there with their dicks in their hands all day.

I mean, if there's not a job to be done then what are we paying them for? They can find some other way to be useful to society in the interim.

Why are we giving them bullshit tasks just so they can be occupied and take up resources?
