    I don't see how I implied a hope for PeerTube to replace YouTube.

    I simply said that PeerTube might see better days when Google can't pay for YouTube anymore, as in PeerTube might get some popularity after that.

    It challenges even the multi billionaire tech companies to host something like YouTube at similar scale. I don't think anyone that knows how big YouTube actually is would think that.

    I do have a question: Do you like your current desktop environment (Cinnamon)? Some newcomers complain that it looks quite dated (which I agree). If so, you could try out KDE Plasma or GNOME instead.

  • You can use Shizuku with Canta. You can pretty much uninstall any app that way (even system apps), but you of course can also brick your phone if you aren't careful. There are builtin warnings for critical system apps that will brick your phone.
