  • I shower every other day, use a regular unscented bar soap (actually labeled soap, not “wash” or “cleanser”) every time with a focus on pits and junk. Wet hair but only shampoo once or twice a week. Morning and evening just splash the face with mildly warm water and hit the towel to dry. About as often as shampoo I’ll use a face cleanser in the shower too, cetaphil daily whatever, it’s just to help tackle my greasy face from poor diet.

  • It’s the Linux version of steam taking advantage of idle time to process shaders. It’s a critical part of making all those proton launched games working right. I wish it had better control for when to run it but it is what it is.

  • I disagree, Sony’s feature is fundamentally different. It allows developers to create quick-load shortcuts for different activities in a given game. Like having multiple open world objectives/missions where you can choose which one to continue from the system menu. Microsoft’s feature is all about resuming where you were directly as if you put the system to sleep with that game running.

  • Yeah the box shows up as a monitor in the system display settings, can even enable it and use it like a normal display. The headset will do the spatial tracking and you can recenter with the headset button. It’s just small and low resolution so you can’t even use it for productivity. Until the app works, no games at all.

  • Index works mostly fine. Sometimes it drops out but my Bluetooth stack hasn’t been the most stable on this install. Arch btw.

I did grab the PSVR2 PC adapter box and it does work to get a display showing in the headset as another monitor which is pretty sweet. But the PSVR2 app on steam just straight up doesn’t work in any form of compatibility mode I’ve been able to try so it’s no dice there.

  • That’s a different feature. Resume Activity is just a developer-dependent shortcut that’s integrated into the system menu. Quick resume is saving a snapshot of ram to disk and loading it up as needed per-application. Different goals entirely.

  • I pay an extra $30/mo on top of the $100/mo for comcast to not charge me extra when we shatter 1TB usage every single month (average 3.5-4TB usage in this home). They absolutely do have caps on home internet, always have, at least in my state. During the pandemic they relaxed the fees so going over didn’t cost but as soon as they could, they went right back to charging $10 per 50gb over 1TB usage with a max fee of $100. It’s bullshit but we don’t have a choice here, can’t even get satellite internet as an option because the complex doesn’t allow dish installation on the building.

  • Pretty easy steps; get app you are interested in. Deny it access to things it doesn’t need when asked. If the app proceeds to not work until you enable, delete. Otherwise, enjoy app without the unnecessary permissions.

  • The GOP internal polling must be showing disaster, if all the swamp monsters keep saying these things. Prove those polls correct, vote.

  • I had this program. It was ok. There were very few titles that actually ran at all, let alone well, on my tangerine iBook or my dad’s G3 desktop. gran turismo 1 and 2 worked, but not full speed. harvest moon back to nature, klanoa, and Spyro 1 did not work. Kinda related but I still have my copy of Halo CE for Mac. Played the original campaign for the first time on that same tangerine iBook.

  • Don’t rest on your laurels or sit on your yanny, get out and vote!

  • But he scooped 1 1/2 McDonald’s fries, he’s a real blue collar boy now!

  • Is that an unfortunate typo? Or are they also offering brides alongside monetary bribes?

  • Balatro, works really well with touch, numbers go brrrrrrrrr

  • Where’s the scam? If the company is providing a $25 credit as a benefit, then they should just give the employees $25. Why should Meta get a say in how it’s spent?

  • For the camera app, it could be as simple as accidentally swiping left on the Lock Screen even just a tiny enough amount to activate the camera, even if released before the full quick shot mode is displayed. That at least is plausible from within a pocket and is not a security concern. Other apps cannot pretend to be the camera app when accessing it.
