  • This has also happened to me multiple times.

I also think I'm too used to how shitty reddits app was i don't notice the bugs that much.

And yes before y'all come tell me how much better the 3rd party apps were i know, I just didn't really know they were out there or consider using them until the api stuff

  • Does anyone see where the 200MP came from? The nothing phone they talk about in the article and all the other flagships have 40-60 megapixel. In was just recently looking at a bunch of new phones because I needed a new one and the highest I think I saw was like 60mp

  • There's a browser based version of Oregon Trail I've played a fair amount of

the Vex series are pretty good parkour/platformers that even had their own level builder

    red ball

one fun one was the helicopter one where you move blocks into positions that I forget the name of

I forget the exact name of the series, it's Flight or I Can Fly or something like that. The one with the penguin where you upgrade your glider and try to destroy an iceberg

A pretty good one with a rocket you upgrade and eventually get to Mars that's fun

Sorry I forget the names, it's been a while. Most probably aren't even playable anymore unfortunately

  • I've used it a little bit on Firefox on my windows machine, I remember it being ok but I like the default Lemmy desktop webpage. Haven't done anything with the pwa functionality, so idk if that works on windows.

  • I've been playing a lot of core keeper with a friend, it's pretty fun. They've added a lot of content since we had last played so we started a new save. It's a great sandboxy 2d adventure and exploration game, worth checking out.

  • Yep, that's a great thing we need to be doing too. There is no silver bullet for climate change, we need to be doing everyb possible thing at once. Cutting all carbon output/using green energy, better agriculture and farming practices, etc.

  • according to this the total land area of built up human development and infrastructure is also around 1%, seems a hell of a lot easier to mandate every building have a white roof. Especially considering most buildings have black roofs, it will be even more of a difference. Also will reduce energy consumption from AC because, as said in the article buildings panted with it have reduced need for cooling.

Roads could also maybe be painted or have a whiter material used, might make it harder to drive though

  • one thing i would be interested in seeing is what kinds of games are causing these problems. I would bet its mostly your mobile gatcha games, at least that kid running away from home must be. A lot of actual psycological research goes into making those games addictive, so no wonder they are addictive. Having actual stats to back it up tho would be nice and could maybe get some restrictions on them passed, especially lootboxes as is somewhat talked about in the article

  • For general tech mostly just this community, but for those who want specifically space news I like Matt Lowne's Space This Week YouTube series, and Scott Manley's Deep Space Updates YouTube series which is every few weeks and has a bit more discussion of stuff.

  • Considering the new EU regulation requiring removable batteries, depending on how it's done by companies I'm thinking therea a decent chance you could get an extra large battery that can connect to it, then have a custom backing to close it. BRING THE DAYS OF THE BRICK BACK
