I have family who work in the university sector. They frequently say people would shocked by what would come out if there ever was a royal commission into the field.

America will be like ‘We’ve ask israel (the accused btw) to investigate themselves’ meanwhile israel says ‘yeah right’ and does fuck all for a year and a half while the weapons keep in coming. Finally they admit that they did deliberately target UN peacekeepers, but by that point everyone has forgotten and if you bring it up you’ll be called antisemitic.

Well if we’re going through another doomsday scenario then hopefully this one puts us out of our misery this time.

It cost about 10 billion to end homelessness in America for a year. You could have had that, but instead America’s leaders want to kill Gaza's children.

I think I heard from somewhere that while that might have worked decades ago the cartels have diversified their ‘business’ to the point where drug legalisation wouldn’t kill them. We should still legalise drugs but I doubt they’ll fix the cartel issue.

On the plus side an immortal ruling class might actually start caring about climate change.

My biggest concern is durability. I keep my phones for a long time (5-6 years). I have serious concerns that folding phones wont hold up. Especially considering that they oldest amongst them are only just now reaching the age of my last phone that was a champ up until I retired it.

And if they do pay damages it comes out of your tax dollars. Great system all round.

Here’s how I see it. Gen AI and LLMs are really good for things that I won’t pay money for. It’s undoubtedly impressive tech, but it really deserves to remain as a cool research project rather than an actual functional product.

If I plug my ears and go ‘lalalalalalala I can’t hear you’ then nothing bad is happening.
