It's still dumb as hell. It's a moving target, with one antibiotic being replaced by another. It's impossible for any scientific study to show something doesn't cause super bugs since it would need to test against every single virus. They can only show that they DO cause super bugs against a specific one.
Plus, again, completely unnecessary in the first place. We need to stop fucking around with things like antibiotics in soaps, new chemicals on nonstick cookware, new types of plastics in our food containers, etc.
I view Gitea as the real alternative to GitHub. I was very big on GitLab for a long time, and think any competition is good, but I'd really like it if more people could seriously invest in Gitea.
I'm not understanding. With Matrix you get channels like "Rust" where you join and it's all about the Rust programming language. Or you can have a group chat with a few people in it.
There's a big difference between a protocol (what you refer to as Lemmy is actually a protocol called ActivityPub) and a centralized organization (Odyssee). Many / most Lemmy instances will ban Nazi posts, many also defederating from instances which allow them. However, the fact that it's a protocol means it's still free speech. This is IMO a very good system to have, and emulates real world free speech dynamics.
Odyssee, however, allowing Nazi stuff is not okay since they are not a protocol. They're the equivalent of a Lemmy instance. Lots of people are against Hexbear, for example, myself included.
It does need many man hours to be built and maintained, especially with things like finance apps. Also, this is a crypto wallet, not a competitor to something practical like Google Wallet. Crypto is basically a useless pyramid scheme and uses an enormous amount of energy.
