  • If you click the link to the article about him saying it failed, he says:

Asked if the U.K. would have been better off remaining in the EU Farage insisted he didn’t “think that for a moment.”

So I think he's sticking to his guns that leaving was better than staying. The situation sucks for everyone in the UK :(

  • That's very interesting. I have been contemplating switching to Mac recently, and it's a bit surprising to hear something that Windows can apparently do better. Thanks for the info.

  • Really? With Firefox in a Private browsing window - are you certain?

Here's mine, with the vault currently locked, but not showing any locked state (point 3):

And for point 1, just unlock the dropdown extension, exit the extension window, then click on the icon again. It will be re-locked when it shouldn't.

If you're really not seeing this, would you mind telling me how you fixed it?

  • That's a Windows dock - you'll want to look at their Mac series for the Mac/Thunderbolt ones:

    https://tobenone.com/collections/for-mac

The reviews on Amazon seem to indicate that Mac people are running 2 displays without issues from these docks. I can see that there are 2x DisplayPort options on their site.

I'm running dual 4K monitors from mine. Not using ethernet so can't comment on that. I have no issues with the audio jack output, works perfectly and very low latency with Asio4All. It's really neat to set my laptop down and plug in a single cable to both charge the laptop and output all the ports.

edit: Looks like they have some docks specifically for M1/M2 Macs to allow dual displays:

  • There are issues with Firefox private browsing windows that don't happen in Chrome. Quoting their help article:

    • Your vault will lock every time the browser extension closes, unless you set vault timeout to Never.
    • Unlock with PIN will work only if the Lock with master password on browser restart option is not selected.
    • The badge icon will not update to show vault state (locked or unlocked).

Not huge issues, but definitely annoying on a daily basis.

  • In Edge (and maybe Chrome?), open the menu for any website, then go to Apps > Install this site as an app.

Boom, webpage as standalone program. They appear on your start menu and you can pin them to your taskbar. I do this with all my frequently used tools and it makes things much faster to arrange them all on a screen or get back to them.

Bonus tip: You can use Win+1, Win+2, Win+3, etc to instantly switch to that pinned app on your taskbar.

  • Agreed, and that's certainly how I read OP's comment.

  • Every human being alive would benefit from therapy.

At no point did the OP say anything about mental illness. They said the nation could benefit from comprehensive mental healthcare, within which therapy would clearly fall into. Which you agree with.

So I don't understand why you thought the OP was "villianising mental illness".

  • If your need is backups, it's definitely not the right product. Drive is a product for your working files, not a bucket for sending your backups. There's vastly cheaper and more sensible options out there for backups.

  • Have you checked? I'm merely an Unlimited user and I already have the drive app.

  • According to this post, it's not that they don't want to, it's that GrapheneOS can't be certified:

    https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/475-wallet-google-pay/9

That post implies that there is something Google won't do which prevents them from certifying, which supports what the OP was saying.

  • you are being deliberately deceptive here and I hate people like that

To be fair, you have no idea if they are being deceptive. They might simply not be aware that GrapheneOS chose not to pay to get certified. I certainly didn't know that, and I'm not at all certain that Google would certify them if they chose to pay. Do you have a source for that?
