  • I have a rare condition called EBS (sometimes called butterfly skin). I am lucky enough to have a non life threatening form so it is usually only a problem when I walk/exercise in above 20°C temperatures. And I usually get benefits (I rarely have to queue for things)

  • That is definitely the appeal. My friends who use apps with algorithms like tik tok tell me that is the reason they use the apps. I can't blame them. Those algorithms showed me loads of obscure musical artists that are still my favorite today (and that is a good thing for indies/small businesses who don't have much money for ad spaces). There is a lot of good reasons for algorithms like that, the problem is the data necessary to make them work and what other stuff they do with it.

  • This seems a bit flawed. I have aphantasia (which is what I assume you mean when you say low-level vision) and I can see a red/orange circle. (I'm going to assume the difference in colour is because of my screen) It isn't well defined but it is bright and I would guess that I wouldn't see one at all since I can't see anything in my mind at all.

  • In the UK secondary students study 3 bits of literature for the exam, modern (20th century+), victorian and classical which is everything before then, I think that's how it works but that's just from memory

  • Just looked it up, the Odyssey can be taught in the UK but it is rarely chosen because Shakespeare is easier to teach and students who pick Shakespeare get better grades on average.

  • I know this is an older post but I thought I would ask here for help, I tried using lcs using the arm build here and got the issue described here. I thought it was because I was using an old build but someone in the thread had the same issue in august this year. I can add communities manually so it isn't an issue with my instance configuration. Did you ever find a way to fix this?
