  • I'm on oneUI 6 (samsung) and it looks like a battery. I think the way it looks in the post is a symptom of brain dead design...

Edit: oh God it's being rolled out to my phone on 25th may, better figure out how to not get this...

  • When I meant missing parts I meant stuff I would notice missing while playing the game with no dlc. This happens a lot in eu4 and almost never in ck3. Although I might try roads to power after hearing about it!

  • That's fair. Although Laith said that Paradox is letting him say whatever he wants, if I got invited to help announce the sequel to one of my favourite games I would be a bit biased. With every video I watched I audibly said wow at least once. I did not expect that many features and depth from a paradox game at release! Makes me wonder what they have left out to sell in DLC. Also makes me worry about how much time developing those features took away from bug fixing...

  • Was it Laith's video? I just finished watching it and he said that it will be a great game if they fix all the bugs. Asking paradox to release a game that isn't buggy is pretty scary. But it does look like an amazing game and not just a stripped down version of the game that came before it (like vic 2/3 and ck 2/3)

  • With their more recent games they have gotten less bad with their dlc, the base games seem a lot more feature rich (I could easily play stellaris, vic 3 and ck3 without feeling like I am missing parts of the game. With eu4, the dlc seem necessary). They will definitely release too much dlc, but it probably (hopefully) won't be required like in eu4

  • Please don't fuck it up Please don't fuck it up Please don't fuck it up Please don't fuck it up Please don't fuck it up Please don't fuck it up they're gonna fuck it up

Although so far I haven't heard many negative things, from journalists or youtubers. But I also didn't hear many negative things about civ7 before launch...

  • Is it a pre made modpack from curse forge or one they made himself? If it is the first, there should be an option when adding a new instance to download a modpack from curseforge or modrinth.

If it's the second, ask them to send the modlist and add the mods manually. You can do that by pressing "edit" on your modded instance, going to mods on the left, pressing "download mods" on the right and searching for all the mods in their modlist. Make sure when you create the instance you select "vanilla" instead of curseforge and select the forge modloader at the bottom of the menu instead.

When I get home I will add some video tutorials if I didn't explain it well.

  • One of my favourite game dev stories from the 1980s is the story of Elite. It was a game people thought couldn't be made. Most devs thought hardware wasn't powerful enough and publishers thought it wouldn't be fun enough.

It was one of the first properly 3D open world video games ever made. I think when it released it sold nearly as many copies as there were home computers that could run it.

In order to make the game small enough to fit on a cassette tape they had to ditch basic and program the entire game, world in assembly.

There's a fantastic video about it here: https://youtu.be/lC4YLMLar5I

  • FANTER

    Jump
  • Unrelated but a few Nando's near me (not sure if it is all of the UK's Nando's) started offering a fanta orange flavoured sauce to replace the regular peri peri stuff on our chicken.

No one I went with last time wanted to try it so I don't know how nice it is but it sounds disgusting!

  • Do you own the java edition? If you do then you get the windows version included, if you don't, you don't have much choice, it is probably impossible to pirate the windows version since it's multiplayer is so locked down.

You'll probably have to emulate android or buy it again to play on PC. At least you get java included! Yay?
