  • They should've picked LibreWolf which ships with uBlock Origin. Brave is a disappointing choice because it supports multi-level marketing pyramid schemes which says enough about their moral compass.

  • This would be convenient indeed, but I've learned to be indifferent about it as long as the manual or readme provides helpful and succinct information.

  • Manuals or notifications written with lay people in mind, not experts.

  • “Is antireligion Christophobic or Islamophobic?
Yes, but especially the word Islamophobic has become a dysphemism because it sounds worse than it is. There's nothing wrong with being allergic or scared of stupid or dangerous ideas. Pacifists aren't slandered as “warphobists” either.” —To consider antireligion instead of atheism | arscyni.cc

  • Nearly always it's been during the live USB install of a dual-boot that a distro messes with the grub or installed grub to the USB disk itself. The fault lies with me because I'm almost blindly trusting the distro, but also with the distro for lacking proper yet succinct documentation during the install or configuration of partitions.

    Clicked his URL…

"physicist and computer scientist…passionate about open source and free software, cryptography…"

    Whew, almost read crypto"currency"…

    Goddammit.

  • The former; the gunplay, maps, and strategical aspects seem excellent, and it looks beautiful. But I spend about 20 minutes in gaming spread over Quake Live and FPV. SkyDive. These are perfect to just play a quick match or two.

  • Zen as main driver because of its features that are on par with Chromium-based Vivaldi browser, and LibreWolf on "older" machines or systems that require stability/consistency. Both are awesome to me. On Android plain Firefox remains pleasant to use, but open to suggestions.

  • Sitting down too much. It took four lumbagos in three years to finally get the point.

I don't write as much anymore unfortunately, but the huge upside is that, after two decades of not being able to do so, I can finally squat again with heels planted without tipping over. A proper Slav squat. Practicing this almost daily for nearly a year has improved my foundational skateboarding skills significantly. And I simply feel more youthful too.

  • Xfce for speed, consistency, and reliability. For most of my workflow I began avoiding configuring a DE as much as possible by relying on AutoKey, Input Remapper, and simple terminal commands, because I can import those to fresh installs way easier.

I moved away from Plasma due to too many small yet annoying bugs.

  • It's not that one but I'm so glad I came here to ask because I love it too!

The one I am looking for is more realistic, it looks very artsy with some clever green screen tricks, I think. And definitely not explicit like yours. Mine's more suggestive.

  • Because for decades Microsoft has yielded to Linux's superiority with unethical anti-competitive behaviour. E.g., it's hard to compete with hardware that comes pre-installed with Windows.

  • ELI5 request on lemmy: "You see, dear grandchildren, your grandfather used to have an apple orchard. The fruits were so sweet and nutritious that every town citizen wanted a taste because they thought it was the only possible orchard in the world. Therefore the citizens gave a lot of money to your grandfather because the citizens thought the orchard would give them more apples in return, more than the worth of the money they gave. Little did they know the world was vastly larger than our ever more arid US wasteland. Suddenly an oriental orchard was discovered which was surprisingly cheaper to plant, maintain, and produced more apples. This meant a significant potential loss of money for the inhabitants of the town called Idiocracy. Therefore, many people asked their money back by selling their imaginary not-yet-grown apples to people who think the orchard will still be worth more in the future.

This is called investing, or to those who are honest with themselves: participating in a multi-level marketing pyramid scheme. You see, children, it can make a lot of money, but it destroys the soul and our habitat at the same time, which goes unnoticed by all these people with advanced degrees. So think again when you hear someone speak with fancy words and untamed confidence. Many a times their reasoning falls below the threshold of dog poop. But that’s a story for another time. Sweet dreams."

  • Almost without fail, every service that touches creeptocurrencies goes into a decline.

Don't expect Proton to make virtuous ethical choices anytime soon, especially now that Trump joined the cult. Once the greed bug has bitten, making a profit supersedes delivering a good product as the primary objective.
