  • I'm primarily going to hold you to this statement:

We have seen the crowd turn against someone, hating someone, many times. It always blows over. Thats why we dont talk about what happened a year ago anymore.

The bad will generated in the past few months won't blow over for Musk. This also means that, for example, if Tesla gets rid of Musk in the year to come, then their value in a year doesn't really mean much to this argument. :) See you in March 2026.

  • As I said in a different thread recently, the only issue is that the name "vaccine" has been tainted in the minds of idiots. Rebrand it as "natural immune system therapy" or something, and market it as something the establishment is firmly against, and they'd be lining up to get it.

None of these people understand what vaccines actually do.

  • I'm convinced the best solution to this problem would be to rename vaccines to something completely different and brand it as a natural remedy that the establishment is fiercely against. "A natural therapy that strengthens and heals your immune system. Ancient asian medicine rediscovered. Witches were burned at the stake in mediaeval Europe for treating people with it."

  • I mean, I agree with you, but this is also a huge problem. This is why you have someone who pretended to be a successful businessman on TV as a president now. I really miss the days when boring but competent people could run a country.

  • I remember listening to Nevermind for probably the first time while playing computer games. I thought the CD (new technology for me at the time) had broken and started chewing the disc like an old tape

  • And with locked grooves, metal machine music for instance has a loop on the innermost groove on side D so it can be played infinitely. There's also records with only loops made with locked grooves.

One band pressed the sound of a C64 BASIC program onto vinyl that could be recorded onto tape and loaded with the c64 tape deck. All sorts of shenanigans.
