Im going to look into a vlan with all exceptions. It's a nighthawk router so I think it has those features. Haven't gotten around to putting dd wrt on it yet
Thank you to everyone who commented. You guys are basically geniuses as far as im concerned, and I have a good library of content to look back on now when I have time to get into it. The hardest part will be coming up with a project so simple that I can do it, but one thats interesting enough for me to actually stick with. Maybe something at first like, at 6 pm on Tuesdays, it flashes a gif onscreen. Or maybe a super simple text game.
I think this is true but current society and AI especially will drive them to be lazy and grow up reliant on instant answers if parents aren't careful to keep that trash away from them
One thing I can help you with. If you learn bass first, you really learn the structure of songs, and it helps make guitar even easier. Don't worry about theory honestly. My friend is super into theory and im not really, and we both make complex music. Theory is just words for what you're already hearing.
I hate the term. It waters down true programmers and hard work. 9 year old rips off someone and makes game, "app". Actual software dev makes useful program using hard work and their own assets, "app".
See this is why I always wish to had been born in the computing age and not the iPad age, would have actailly had a reason to learn the real building blocks ! Thats a good cheat though.
I think netgear makes the guest network a subnet.
