Climbing, the gear is all rated to lift 2 tonnes, so a medium sized car. It won't snap with you on it.

I've been reading some of the suggested reading from hakim's list, and also watching videos from second thought, and I just feel so angry with the system. What do we do? What should I do? Can we do anything?
Yea I think what I'll do now is just forego the bike computer, and use osmand. It has pretty good routing support, and very customisable. really impressed with it. Bike computers are part of the bad side of cycling I would like to leave behind anyway.
