There will be no strike of any sort. If HW wins liberals will go back to brunch and ignore huge issues assuming their party will fix things and conservatives will keep preaching end of the world. Vice versa of trump wins.
The issue is voters always assume the next election will change stuff, when all it does is keep things the same.
There's still the electoral college which needs to go, creating a half-assed workaround which could easily be dissolved is not a fix. It's nothing other than a spit and a handshake
If they get 5%, not only do they get Federal election funding, they also have guaranteed ballot access so they do not have to fight for ballot access on each individual State every single election and they get a podium at the debates. Giving them legitimacy, which in turn creates a threat to the right-wing authoritarian duopoly we currently have

For the last year we've been cleaning the same thing from low info single issue liberals. Overlook genocide so their team can win. Overlook the environmental impact of 2 huge wars funded by the US so their team doesn't lose. Their single issue is 'not Trump' despite on paper they look exactly like Trump
