Maintenance has been negligible - $250 a year for oil changes & a couple hundred for replacing damaged tires. I might check into my state's tax credits to see if that would make up the difference in cost.
The range problem is that I can't charge at home. I could probably go as low as 140 miles if I'm willing to visit a charging station every weekend. But, the one to three times a year when I do drive somewhere for vacation or to visit family, I'd either have to plan very carefully or rent a car.
Initial cost and lack of charging infrastructure are the two biggest drawbacks for me. The lease on my current car ends in a year, and I'm looking for a viable EV. But most EVs that are bigger than a breadbox and have a 250+ mi. range start around $7-10k beyond my budget.
"Please review the attached guide, which can be conveniently found on our website." This translates to, "Stop wasting my time by asking me basic fucking questions that you could easily find the answers to on your own!"
"There are several ways to exploit LogoFAIL. Remote attacks work by first exploiting an unpatched vulnerability in a browser, media player, or other app and using the administrative control gained to replace the legitimate logo image processed early in the boot process with an identical-looking one that exploits a parser flaw. The other way is to gain brief access to a vulnerable device while it’s unlocked and replace the legitimate image file with a malicious one."
It's been a while since I've seen Ida, but I remember liking it a lot. If you're looking for something similar, I think Philomena with Judy Dench is excellent.
I'm on the last season of a Fraiser rewatch. For a show that last aired 20 years ago and lasted 11 full seasons, I'm surprised at how well it holds up and how consistently funny it is.
Also just finished season 2 of The Morning Show on Apple. Wasn't nearly as good as the first season, and I've heard that season 3 is even worse. Think I might be done with this one.
Over the weekend I did a triple feature of Saltburn, The Holdovers and Next Goal Wins. The Holdovers was the clear standout of the three. Really solid writing and great performances from everyone involved.
Rob has no "testimony". Rob has questioned Bob's statement without making any attempt to see things from Bob's perspective or to ask Bob about his suffering. Rob, and by Rob I mean you, lack any empathy or curiosity that would open him to any possibility of understanding another person's struggles.
I'd watch me some Tornado Alley Trailer Park Wives.
