Making your own server can seem daunting at first, and there is a learning curve at the beginning, but if you like tech it's a great way to learn how computers and networks work.
It's not like thousands of movies and tv shows that people already haven't seen don't exist. We probably have a whole century's worth of content, no need to enrich corporate fucks any more than we already have
I feel like this is what it finally took to push me to Arch. I absolutely love Fedora too. I don't mind Redhat as an entity making money for their employees. What I do mind is insulting their users and having another megacorp like IBM make these actual decisions.
I'm not American myself and this was just explained by a few American friends of mine who were formerly in the SRA and even had leadership roles in their chapters; one was a demsoc and two were anarchists. In my own country there are almost no MLs; they came to power back in the 60s and 70s as part of our national liberation but then they just ended up being power hungry, as all MLs eventually become (or were in the first place). Nobody has faith in them anymore so anybody who is leftist is pretty much anarchist or at least demsoc.
And anybody who praises the government of North Korea has absolutely zero moral high ground on which to stand
Blame the laws of the countries where that happens. The legislatures there have been captured by their own corporations.
