  • Sorry but you aren't special, everyone here already used windows or Mac and the fact that I'm not using other systems righr nowmaybe is more related to I not liking/needing it than pretending they do not exist.

  • It is curious cause I also had a very bad experience with flatpaks, a lot programs just won't work and the terminal integration... is just bad, really bad.

I think the container idea is not for everything and ppl should stop pretending that is marvelous. It actually work for most apps after a big improvement in usability but not for everything.

  • Idk, one is investing in keep an decent open source RHEL compatible and the other is the opposite maybe they are not literally the same. You are traveling in a dangerous zone of the "if". You can conjecture anything in the "if" zone

  • Let me guess, you are from the United States? Every time I heard about this is only from the US, never see anyone outside giving a single fuck about that.
Also, do you really wanna be friend with someone that choose friendship by the phone their friend uses? Wtf

  • You did not need to watch something to be bombarded with similar content, Youtube recommends things that are watched by ppl that watch things you watch (sorry about that). And it seems to considerate the overall popularity, at leat for me, so it usually recommends stupid popular right wing things just because it is overall popular and happens to be watched by a lot ppl that also watch dota 2 for example. I had to disable YouTube tu use my history to suggest content, my front page is full of things that I already watched from my subscriptions but for its better than YouTube stupid suggestions.

  • Maybe but idk if they cannot just evade it juridically since technically Threads is another company besides being owned by Meta, also they will just ip block EU users. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Meta being fined, I just cant see this easily happening.
