True. But the for the last part, but the argument for RCS is the same. But more so. You'd know you could just message them using it and you wouldn't need to know if they were using WhatsApp discord. No matter what their phone would have RCS, or would fall back to SMS.
From your post content though it actually sounds like you'd be happy with a Kobo. You can easily transfer books and you can install third party open source reading software too.
RCS done properly would be nice. I'd very much like to not be sending my messages through meta. Google's implementation, however, just trades one American giant for another.
Yeah. I don't really think it's better either. I just think it'll fall flat on its face like Google's many many previous attempts at messaging unless they actually tell people it exists.
I usually just take a week over summer then the other 6 weeks at other times of the year. Hotels, fights and stuff pretty much double their prices over the summer.
Actually using your AC is one thing, incorrectly disposing of it and the gases therein is another thing all together. A ton of the refrigerating gasses in an AC (or your fridge or freezer) is equivalent of up to 22,800 tons of CO2.
Oh I'm definitely going to give it a try once it hits fdroid so it's easy to update. I'm not somehow thinking that Sync is inherently better than Foss apps. But it was always going to feel more mature. It's a conversion of an app that's been in development for 11 years, rather than a brand new app.
For YouTube I think the only options are revanced/ revanced extended or Firefox Nightly with a whole bunch of extensions.
