  • If only he did something to pursue that in 24+ years he held the office... He only cares now because indebted newlyweds with kids are a target demographic for service. And it doesn't work that well either.

  • Theoretically yes, but these were previously imported for reasons and if pre-war Russia didn't cover that, I guess the modern one wouldn't too.

  • I imagine him falling from a pole and breaking his neck on a first try. Makes it bearable.

  • It's because they assume some absolute power holder already exists and it's not their one, but black, jewish, deep state etc, so they want their own. The actual weakness of Democrats not holding 100% of all offices is probably the go-to talking point when trying to deprogram vulnerable believers of said conspiracies.

  • With how weirdly their army works, I doubt they have any chance in active warfare. Even if they didn't plan fleeing, they are worse than cannon fodder, and deserting is the only thing they can probably do.

  • If they are sent to (or have chosen to be sent to) active warfare they aren't the top crop and probably already in the lower caste. And, if you think about it, if the dissenting mood took place in their particularly caring family, they'd be happy to disown and carry a burden of their child who fleed. And if they aren't, their boy can allow himself to stop giving a fuck.

  • Partially, but most goes through grey channels and would do so. Intel 13k, nVidia 4k, they all happen to get there from China but with more and more variable locations on the way.

  • Russia doesn't export high tech into China if I read you right. And it doesn't produce much for it's authonomy in spite for the move for импортозамещение or replacing exports. It still depends on things they import, including chips for military production and some casual things like home devices, ingredients for brewing etc.

  • They also sent garbage to SK to no repsonse and no purpose.

  • I have a hard time remembering it from the time I've seen it in cinema in late 00s I think. It was something about alien concentration camps? I can't remember much now.

  • These processes are slow and they put their heads on the table to make sure some gray alternative channel still works. If something, these measures would take effect somewhere in 2030s for the big players. Yet, Gazprom reported negative balance recently, and other resource-oriented conpanies too, so some effect already took place.

  • 1\3 of total budget sounds more impressive, and althoigh that's from 2022, it's a mindblowing metric.

  • The russian way is to set up extremely restrictive laws covering everyone as guilty, so a governing body can use them to charge everyone they want. I guess, talibs learnt some of that wisdom visiting Kremlin while being a designated terrorist organization here, kek - and this status would get lifted in coming months.

  • What a fugly couple of mugs. Why do popular bad people look like that as they obviously obsessed with their own image? I remember Zuckerberg had something for a particular roman politician thus maintaining this weird hair thing, but then we have OpenAI guy who looks like he's one of Dexter's villains, and also these guys. Are they intentionally working on their Dr Evil persona or what? It's not that they should be visually pleasuring to me, like no one, but with my small sample size and bias it seems to me that it's some trend.

  • Not only their votes, but also their tech. Musk has numerous working schemes to put up some new grifts like TrumpCoins to support Donald's shady businesses with these if they are not looked into - that he would guarantee. Elon looks like a guy who knows how to handle weird transactions, at least to him, and Twitter purchase showed that.
