Right, but I think a lot of people in the Southwest are heading to Texas. Because driving another dozen hours makes a difference in the total trip time. I know I personally can't afford the time from AZ to go further north.
Good thing there's nothing astronomical happening in Texas next week that only happens once every decade or so in the US, which people might flock to Texas to stand in crowds to see before dispersing back home across the Southern US. 😅
They can do JATO for both takeoff and landing but it's tremendously risky and hard on the airfare so it's reserved for extreme emergencies where there are no other options, IIRC.
Just consider how long it takes GPT4 to answer a question. Anywhere from a few seconds to a minute in my experience. There's at least one A100 at probably 400w going full throttle that whole time, plus all the supporting hardware.
I mean, I've had this prepared professionally and it was exceptional and consistent. And I knew immediately I probably didn't ever want to prepare it myself.
The last time I was at the DMV a few months ago I set up my appointment online and didn't wait at all. I'd grabbed the wrong document type so the clerk scheduled me for 30 minutes out and I drove home and back again and got my license updated with no waiting involved despite having made an error on my part.
And so many other things. I've also used it for "cloud saves" back/forth from my desktop to my steam deck on games that don't support them for various reasons. Dyson Sphere Program being one, because the files can get quite large.
Well what else is one supposed to do with it?
