  • Are you talking about an artist exclusively running their images through an AI model until it is capable of regenerating images that look like it was created by them and have some semblance of intent?

In order to get anything that looks remotely like what people want, I'm pretty sure they would have to upload millions of pictures of their own creation first. So most people just layer their images on top of the giant mash of ethically sketchy data that already was there.

    1. Nobody had responded when you wrote this
    2. What a persecution complex
    3. Twitter is owned by a transphobe with a personal vendetta against his own child for being trans. You are not being discriminated against
  • And the opposite reverse is true, which I think is more interesting: the average Democrat voter is to the left, probably far to the left, of Biden on several things (the border, Israel, and marijuana legalization all come to mind).

  • Even if you adopt hardline Marxism-Leninism-Maoism as an ideology, the modern state of China has applied so much pro-capitalist revisionism to it that it's a shell of its former self. Today, Maoist parties are suppressed in China.

I'm not a Maoist by a long shot, but I can at least appreciate the fact that the ones shouting "revisionism!" the most are the ones who have most bastardized their own texts.

  • So in worldnews, being cringe is bannable if it's against the CCP but not the US.

I also paraphrased an upvoted comment on this subreddit that calls people who call it the CCP a racist Nazi.

And you don't think orientalism (the real kind) is also racist? That's a weird nitpick you tried to employ.

  • If you stalked my comment history, then you're being extremely selective and disingenuous, or very lazy.

"Death to Amerikkka" is not a critique either. But it is allowed by moderators. Do you condemn that equally?

A political party is not a race.

    Death to the CCP.

To quote @davel@lemmy.ml : Reporter, please learn the difference between a people and a state.

  • According to moderators, even using the word "CCP" makes you a racist orientalist Nazi.

If that sounds like the neolib tactic of calling all criticism of Israel (or even the Netanyahu regime) "antisemitic" that's because it is.

  • Anything much outside of the mods' pro-Russian, pro-CCP, pro-Hamas narrative on /c/worldnews is frequently removed and the user banned. Pro-Western users have a strict bigotry standard applied, while anti-Western users can say anything.

I noticed somebody who wrote "death to amerikkka" was given official mod sanction (saying that it was a country not a people group) so I made the same comment about the CCP.

    Comment removed. Banned.

    Confirmed.

  • Are you opposed to authoritarianism?

Asking so I can understand whether the Nazis would get a pass under your beliefs.

I don't like it when anybody, including Nazis, try to whitewash their actual agenda by putting dishonest labels on top of what they really do.
