A lot of people hated Edge of Tomorrow because Tom Cruise.
I've never seen people mention this as a problem, it's universally liked as far as I can tell. I have seen it mentioned humorously, as in "as a bonus, if you don't like Tom Cruise you can watch him die in this movie, like, a lot".
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro here. Battery health is at 88% after 3.5 years of solid daily use. So it's certainly paying off, happy to see more and more devices offering a charge limit option now.
People who hate smartphones are luddites. There's so much these devices bring to the table that it's hard to summarize. From instantly connecting to anyone in the world with audio as well as video to knowing exactly where we are at any point in time. Enabling us to handle almost any situation. As long as my phone can connect to a cell network or Wi-Fi you could drop me anywhere in the world and I'd be fine.
The people who think smartphones have made the world worse are barking up the wrong tree. It's not the concept of the smartphone that did that, it's apps and capitalism that did. Exploiting psychology to wring any possible profit out of humanity is the problem, not these wonderful fruits of miniaturization.
On my first character alone it was 370+ days at some point, and I retired her when the first time expansion came out. Safe to say I've spent years on that game, even though I don't even remember how long ago I quit.
As someone who came over from reddit basically via Sync, this is normal. Dev likes to go MIA for extended periods of time and suddenly appears with huge updates.
Doesn't suit the still developing environment here, though.
