  • The Harry Potter main series, for which I have a major case of nostalgia. I'll happily and accurately slag JKR off for being a dimwit with terribly stupid opinions, who would need to be both smarter and more committed to make her "make it up as you go along" worldbuilding make any sort of sense at all. Which, bluntly, it doesn't.

But considering how much of a turnip she is, parts of her worldbuilding is strangely compelling while others fail basic self-consistency.

  • Not at all. The guys designing the early drafts of the applicable laws seem to never have considered a convicted felon persuading millions and millions of people that it, or his active prison sentence, doesn't matter because PwN tHe LiBs. Frankly, how could they?

  • Who'd'a thunk a bunch of angry (self-styled-)commie trolls who got punted off Reddit and decided to make their own, with Marxist blackjack and Marxister hookers, would eventually deteriorate into this shit.

  • Yeah, but it's not the gotcha you think it is. The entire right-winger thing is whinging about everything being someone's fault. Particularly de gubmit. Even in cases when they are in a majority in said "gubmit" at the time, and have been for nigh on a decade.

Point is, you are implicitly giving these cretins too much credit in the rhetoric they use. It's not meant to make sense. It's meant to rile up rednecks/whatever-other-relevant-stereotype.

  • What you want is not what you're asking. You want less politics, judging by the other replies. People here will not give it to you, as furiously political circlejerking is part of Lemmy etc from its inception

  • Pop-up riddled shit that annoys anyone who tries to read it. Substack is apparently riddled with Nazis, but then that was a characteristic I heard here, so take that with a pinch of salt.

    Maybe github pages?
