  • He also runs a tech repair shop in New York, I could see him being in a lot of tech stuff you're seeing

  • That's Louis Rossman, basically the head of the right to repair movement (nobody's really the head but for most intents and purposes it's this guy)

If you support the right to repair, or even if you don't, it wouldn't hurt to look into his stuff

  • Ads in any kind of app store search should SUPER NOT BE ALLOWED. Microsoft does it, Google does it, even the Apple app store has it. I don't want my grandma to be looking for her bank app and download Fast Cash Transfer Free 2024 Edition instead

  • This tweet is so old that I remember seeing it on Windows 10's release

  • I honestly don't get it either, I thought it was all voice acted and was surprised at the customized lines for each team. Didn't even consider that it could be AI

Edit: the clip in the article sounds worse than what I heard in game, not sure if it's been tweaked since then or if I was too busy to notice

  • Sorry I worded that poorly, I'm doubting the article, not you

  • I downloaded the smart things app on my pixel and I've got the option to add a tracker. I don't have one to test with, but is it actually limited to Samsung devices?

  • You can still purchase unlocked bootloader versions from other retailers, just don't buy through a carrier

  • Hey whatever makes it work!

  • Imagine a Lumia with one of these new Snapdragon 8cx cores in it that slides into a lapdock. Plenty of power for like 90% of people

  • I'm not seeing anything that would be preventing this from showing up in the BIOS, is the USB drive formatted GPT? Does it recognize on any other computers? It may just be that it's not discovering the EFI file. Also check Startup > Boot > Excluded from Boot Priority Order, but this shouldn't matter for the F12 menu.

  • Huh? Every ThinkPad I've had let's me boot to a USB drive. Check your bios settings something is off, unless it's through a company and they have it specifically disabled.

  • Waiting on my ghost to come in, the grip for the 7 was a nice high quality case. Would recommend them.

I got a bubble under the skin after a few days and contacted support for a remedy, they suggested a hot air dryer but also sent a new skin without my asking free of charge. Like they literally just sent it to the order address and said "btw you've got another one in the mail". So A+ customer support in my books.

  • The large Mario thumbnail prevents me from reading the quote in anything but his voice

  • I don't have any issues, I've whatever scanned every possible angle I can think of when enrolling. Gets a good map of your finger

  • Yup, mines set to power button because I would never invoke assistant like that

  • So there are two arguments being made in this situation. The first is that because Google kills off services and products all of the time, that taking their word for a 7-year promise is foolish. In other words, you might not want to trust them because they killed off a Pixel Pass that 25 people signed up for, a Google Podcasts app that was basically a browser in an app shell that was given a proper replacement, a niche business presentation screen in Jamboard, and Stadia…freaking Stadia. They gave you all of your money back and let you keep the controller, guys.

C'mon guys they had a "proper replacement" and let you keep the controller! They're not all that bad! 👅🥾

I'll never forgive them for Google Play Music.

I do however believe they're going to stick to their word here though. They make the processor and the OS, it'd have to take some extreme ignorance to fuck that up. It's not like they're reliant on Qualcomm to release new drivers for the chip, one of the big reasons devices stop being updates.
