  • Yeah, they're not gonna do all that stuff for cert and then go "now let's remake our whole intro sequence to be more convenient!", I don't think devs typically have that much free time

  • Thank you, Kanye, very cool

  • It's basically an action RPG but the way they you get around the world is parkour and there's a skill tree related to free running skills. It's a phenomenal system. I prefer the first one to the second.

  • It evokes Megaman, but it isn't Megaman. I don't think they'd have grounds to do anything unless they're one of those companies that patented specific parts of gameplay design or something of that nature.

  • I almost wanted to recommend this, but for a dedicated game system it's a real emphasis on idle. You'd essentially be tapping every so often or setting up a task and then letting it go. I don't think it's a good dedicated Steam Deck game, but it is a hell of an idle game

  • I'm not super worried about it. If it doesn't push the numbers they like, they'll put it on sale just like the GTA Definitive Edition on switch goes on sale semi-regularly. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. When it hits a price you deem acceptable, then go for it

  • On Kbin and none of the formatting works here either. Didn't really think about it, but a cross Fediverse standard for spoiler tagging would likely eventually be necessary

  • Isn't that video just cribbed from the trailer? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the trailer specified if it was PS4, Switch, or just some debug unit running the software. I would not trust these as accurate comparisons as a result. It can't provide much more than that, so maybe don't make an article.

  • I mean, the problem with upvotes and downvotes is that at one point they were supposed to have specific uses, but they're unenforceable, so it's really just a "here, community, you manage yourself with the numbers".

Of course, "misuse" of the downvote is rampant, and so you should always interpret them with a grain of salt when you see them, on your posts or otherwise. Just because you got downvoted doesn't necessarily mean you're in the wrong or that you deserved it.

Likewise, just because you got upvoted doesn't necessarily mean you contributed much to the discussion or that the info you provided is true. So be critical of yourself and your own conduct, and use your best judgment when voting, but at the end of the day, it's internet points and you should judge a post or comment on its contents and not immediately by its votes.

  • Death Stranding is downright meditative. One of the most interesting and compelling games I've ever played. I just love delivering the packages and just soaking in that world.

  • Visual novel or narrative games are great for that. Sometimes it's nice to just watch a story unfold and make key choices.

  • Yeah, I'm curious who they've got doing this one. Seemingly it's a straight port, so at least we won't see too much "definitive" style meddling.

  • I prefer RDR1's more painterly look to RDR2's more realistic direction anyhow, so as long as the game itself is in a high resolution and runs well then I think itll hold up just fine

  • The idea that somebody watched a MST3k and was just pissed that these guys were in front of and talking over the movie is hilarious to me.

They just riff over movies, look through what they've done and pick a movie you either like, dislike, or have heard is famously bad and you'll either like their comedy style or not, I don't personally like them

  • As people got the hang of using Discord to make large, complex, moderated and bot assisted servers people communicate more heavily on there.

Discord moves too fast for me to want to use it that way, all conversations disappear rapidly on busy servers, but other people certainly do

  • Not that person, but I'd assume that its artsy vagueness and self importance are both good if you wanna get into analysation and terrible if you know nothing about it and are just trying to watch a regular sci Fi movie and understands what's immediately going on

  • I don't have 4, but if it's like 3 then there are regular characters who can die and are persistent, then there are seasonal characters who can die but may only be created at the beginning of, and are deleted at the end of, a given season.

Then there's hardcore, who are persistent forever but can only die one time. All three have their own ecosystems in which characters created in a given mode can share gold, certain upgrades, and items with each other, but not outside of their own mode. You can have multiple hardcore characters share items and gold, but you can't give those to regular or seasonal characters, and so on.

  • A lesser known sequel to a cult classic, I've been playing through Apollo Justice, part of the Ace Attorney series. When I was a kid and really enjoyed Phoenix Wright I never continued on to Apollo Justice purely because I was put off of playing this other character.

It really is a sequel and continuation of the Ace Attorney series and I hope to go on to play the Miles Edgeworth Investigations series after this one.

  • Going through all of the Hitman reboot trilogy maps purely to take screenshots. My plan is to have a fat wallpaper folder of all sorts of locations from the trilogy. It's a beaut

  • As long as you're careful it should be okay. I'm sure it'll scare the shit out of them, they may flee if you trim it, but again, worst case is they decide they need to make a new web elsewhere.

Too bad, I guess it was good real estate!
