The OR legislature passed the POWER Act which aims to make sure data centers and crypto mining facilities don't cause prices to surge for people just powering their homes.
This bill awaiting the governor's signature would prohibit what states like Florida and Texas have been doing by keeping schools and libraries from removing books on the basis of being by, or about minorities
Wait there's more...
This bill recently passed that places restrictions on corporate ownership of medical clinics and limits corporate control over physician decision making.
Another recently passed Bill Allows striking workers- to receive up to 10 weeks of unemployment benefits during a labor strike
And last but certainly not least, there are recently passed expansions to the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA) to include all motor vehicle manufacturers and their affiliates. This grants Oregonians the right to request deletion of personal data gathered from their vehicle, access copies of that data, and stop its sale or use for targeted advertising.
