China is right there. I have no idea how historians will answer the question "Why did the western empires hand their own means of production to the biggest ML country on the planet?".

The censor hits any substring, rather than trying to heuristically guess whether the substring is being used as a slur or not, it assumes users are smart enough to pick up on the context.

Opposition to American imperialism isn't support for Russian imperialism.

The simple truth is that this prolonged war is worse than a quick defeat for the people living in Ukraine; millions are displaced, hundreds of thousands are dead, the rightwing is stronger than ever in both countries, and Ukraine will never be safe again within either of our lifetimes.

3 parties can unilaterally end the war right now, Russia, Ukraine, and America. As an American, the only way I can meaningfully oppose the war is to oppose America's involvement. That would be reversed if I was a Russian.

The political compass is useless for describing actual ideologies. Partly because that's not how ideologies work, partly because you can't divorce political philosophies from their contexts in society.

Yes, it's a shame the system failed to deliver justice. The solution isn't that justice shouldn't be served, it's that the system needs to be fixed so people like this are killed lawfully and by the state are not in a position where they profit off of human misery.

If he was no longer a threat, I'd endorse rehabilitation, the last emperor of China, who collaborated with the Japanese in WWII ended up living out his years working menial jobs and making real connections with people.

I've tried several times over the years, I always run into too many issues before I just give up because USB aren't recognizing things or it won't boot or it won't run some specific software after 2 hours of trying to fix it.
