Exactly, thats why i disagree with naming new instances as "feddit". Sure, lemmy could be considered a "federated reddit" but at some point we should be able to detach it from that simplification.
Huh i wasnt aware of the advice of counsel defense. Seems like the conditions are effective in blocking misuse of said defense. I do wonder if there has been a big case where this has been used succesfully, bc it doesnt really sound like a good strategy, even if we consider a less crazy context than this one.

A very clear example for me is Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad. The character is supposed to be chilean and lived in Chile for a good portion of his life, yet his spanish is atrocious. Huge contrast with Lalo, whose actor is actually bilingual in spanish and english, and therefore speaks both languages fluently.
I also remember watching a yt clip of Jim Cearrey speaking Korean. I think it was from the Yes movie. My K-drama fanboy self thought he did a good job from the shows ive seen, but actual koreans in the comments were clarifying his accent was kinda weird.

That is not true. I found 3 communities in pornlemmy which feature body types very similar to the ones in the comm in question. The description of the last one is blatantly worse than the one in the comm in question
Also to uncollapse them you have to tap the comment from the right side, otherwise youll go to their profile page. Perhaps the user link could be deactivated if the comment is collapsed.
Ah, I see. I wasnt aware said org had over a 100 years of existence. Some comments here gave me the impression that this term was ok a short time ago but if we're talking about multiple decades then this sounds like a mayor fuck up.
