Urban warfare is never pretty. If Hamas cared about Palestine they'd release the remaining hostages and surrender unconditionally. But they don't. Their leaders are safe in Qatar, and their zealots care only about murdering Jews, not about the people caught in the crossfire of the inevitable Israeli counterstrikes. If they cared about their people they wouldn't use them as human shields.
And yes, if you say that Israel shouldn't attack if there's a risk of civilian casualties you need to offer up an alternative that gets Hamas to stop attacking Israeli civilians.
I mean, yes? Other than most people thinking of dogs as pets what's the moral difference between eating dog and eating cattle or poultry? It's pretty hypocritical to ban one and not the other.
And no, I'd never eat a dog. But I have eaten horse.
Meh, the only time I'm actually using my mouse for prolonged periods of time is when I'm gaming. And whenever I feel strained I'll just switch to a controller, I'm absolutely terrible with controllers but they still feel less weird to my brain than trackballs.
Which is a very important distinction that people here seem to overlook. If you give in to a terrorist's and hostage taker's demands you're inviting more terrorism and hostage-taking because it worked.
And Rowling's wealth is somewhere between God and Scrooge McDuck, so people buying or not buying the game really makes fuck all of a difference. If you're really feeling bad about it donate £10 to a UK trans rights activist group and I guarantee you that those £10 will be having a far greater impact than whatever royalties Rowling made from your purchase.
That's a significantly better source, thank you. But I'm still not seeing genocide. The ramblings of one cabinet minister in a coalition government don't make something government policy. The only thing that Israel is actually doing is expanding its settlements, which is bad because it makes a two-state solution less likely, but it's not genocidal.
It's not bad faith, it's experience. Most people who attend pro-Palestinian rallies are the "Palestine from river to the sea" type, not the "no settlements in the West Bank let's work toward a Two-State Solution" type.
Hiding isn't a war crime. Trying to blend in with a civilian population while you're an active combatant, however, is. Precisely because it makes strikes with mass civilian casualties a military necessity.
And there's video evidence of Hamas dragging mostly undressed women through the streets to be spit on (after doing God knows what to them). Their treatment of hostages seems to be at best uneven.
Edit: Lol, lot's of downvotes - and not a single person providing proof for a policy of ethnic cleansing that's not coming from a literal anti-Israel propaganda outlet (or even from the propaganda outlet). You guys sure you aren't just being antisemitic? Because you don't seem to have any real ground to stand on.
Or, you know, Hamas could stop hiding in civilian populations. Or even better they could release the remaining hostages and surrender. All deaths here are solely their responsibility.
Make me, terrorist supporter.
