Honestly, I'm pretty sure 99.9% of git users never really bother with the git history in any way that would be hindered by merging.
Git has a ton of powerful features, but for most projects they don't matter at all. You want a distributed consensus, that's it. Bothering yourself with all those advanced features and trying to learn some esoteric commands is frankly just overhead. Yes, you can solve great problems with them, but these problems almost never occur, and if they do, using the stupid tools is faster overall.
They did lower prices several times, but even though Tesla may not see itself as a luxury brand, they're definitely in the higher priced range. And there they are competing with more and more compelling offers from other companies, including traditional car manufacturers.
Tesla at this point has no edge. It's not cheap, not well built, range is just okay, the only thing it has is brand recognition. But that can backfire, obviously.
Here in Germany, Tesla's image used to be excellent, then they built a gigafactory near Berlin and had to be dragged by courts and striking workers to comply with the law, and they still thought it would be a good idea to put a water thirsty factory in the middle of a stretch of land that is literally turning into a desert right now. And Musk just stood there and laughed his simulation of human laughter into the faces of journalists and the chancellor when confronted during the opening.
Sending money to an organization that carries in its name that it's intended to do political actions is definitely a show of intent. And that's not a legal question. Legally, a Russian oligarch could send money to an American company he owns/controls and that company could then forward that money to a super PAC. Easy to pull off legally, but very open and if it comes out, there's hardly any denying.
Buying stocks on the other hand is super simple to do directly and of course a Russian oligarch has a bunch of assets, some just happen to be Trump related stocks. Nothing to see.
Because a foreign government funneling money into a super PAC is easier to trace and proof intent. Buying stocks is just an investment without any political implications.
To be fair, there are no statistics. You can't just query Twitter anymore, at least not for a reasonable price. So the only source is Musk, which is sketchy at best.
Are you misreading me on purpose? The 400k people are needed to maintain the current workforce. Admittedly, my English is far from perfect, but as far as I know, "maintain" implies keeping something at a certain level.
You have similar results in less capitalized countries.
In Germany half the seats in the Bundestag are filled with district representatives that are voted for in a FTPTP manner. These seats go almost exclusively to the largest two parties. These two are the big center right and center left parties.
How exactly do you promote anything without saying "it's better than the competition" in some way?
What else can you say about a programming language? There's literally not a single point where a feature is not a comparison to the rest of the languages. There's exactly one actual barrier: turing completeness. And that bar is so low, even Excel gets over it.
Even just an afternoon of CSS would mean 2-4 hours, plus setting everything up, plus talking to the client, revisions, etc. You'll quickly end up with 10h overall, even if the actual task is rather small. And that's the optimistic case.
So you'll end up with maybe 50€/h , probably more like 30. Not terrible, but that's the optimistic case.
Solar farms on rust scale are relatively new, though. So this might have happened countless times before, but not that concentrated on a single entity.
The commits aren't duplicated, but applied to the main branch. Since git has commit ids, they won't be re-rebased either.
